Can I run Era 2 (ERM) scripts without wog? and other questions

Hello fellow Heroes players!
I'm kind of a beginner when i comes to modding heroes 3 and I want to learn more about it.
After searching here and on the web I got some answers from old guides but I still got a few questions about the whole thing

1)ERA 2 - I tried to disable wog from the mod manger tool, and run era 2, but the game crush on startup. there is a way to run heroes 3 with erm script without the wog modifications?

2)My main goal is to add some neutral creatures to the game. I already know how to make the .def's but I am not sure how to add them to .lod files (is resedit2 the best way?) and actually get the in the game.
what is the best way to add them? erm? some way to do it with hota? (and not vcmi). I have seen a tamplate for era 2 - (http://heroescommunity.com/viewthread.php3?TID=34437) is this still the best way to add new creatures?

Also, can we modify vanilla Sod/Complete and add creatures there? (this and hota are IMO the most stable and vanilla)

Hi! Latest Era 2.9.10 has WoG scripts, extracted to a separate mod called WoG Scripts. Just disable it. Base mod WoG will still be obligatory, but without any scripts. Newer Era versions will have no WoG Scripts mod in the main package at all.
