Hi there,
I finished a map I've been working on for a while now. It's a G map with 7 playable colors. The main plot is Dungeon fighting against Tower. Tower is more of an evil faction in this world, so it's not about good vs evil, but more about a race of who can gain the most power . But as I said, the other colors are playable as well. The map can be quite unpredictable, which it is very much intended to be. Artifacts are rare, at least the better ones.
Pathfinding is your friend on this map, unless you like the idea of getting lost forever in a swamp.
You can download it here:https://www.maps4heroes.com/forum/opinions.php?map_id=1867&game=3
I think I found most map mistakes, but if you happen to find one, please let me know.
Btw, the map object limit can be quite a challenge for a map this size. I ran out of half of the primary skill objects and both the learning stone and the gazebo. So using more of the underground space would've been rather difficult.

Wow, that's awesome. Another huge (giant) map. Is it possible to play with a team of 2-3 players? If possible, what team alignments are most recommended (Rampart, Tower and Dungeon are okay together)?
But technically speaking, Tower too can easily be an evil faction: just like Dungeon, they are somewhat of an enslaving society (but not that extreme), which also relies on constructs (both living and not), with Magi and Wizards in the top of the hierarchy (+Alchemists). Let's remember Gavin Magnus in H4. Order doesn't necessarily mean good, when you are a gremlin slave without/with few rights.

I agree. For me, Gavin Magnus' plot in H4 plus the whole story of the Wizards enslaving the Barbarians in Heroes Chronicles definitely showed that this faction can be "not so good".

You could do Tower, Necro and Stronghold for example. Or another option would be Cove, Rampart and Castle. Those two teams would go together geographically at least. But I don't know how good an idea that is, because you will steal each others resources at some point. If that's a problem, you can do the opposite of what I suggested and take ones that are further away from one another.
In the end you can't go too wrong with how you build your teams I guess. Only Tower and Dungeon are supposed to be antagonists, but that doesn't have to stop your fun either. ^^

As a non native English speaker: Does it actually get clear from the title that "Serpent" and "Thunder" are supposed to be names representing their factions dungeon and tower or rather black dragons and titans? Because if people understand it as nouns rather than names, the title sounds kinda silly.

Knights were not better. Chronicles show them bad sides(Supporting Wizards against Barbarians and later on took control of swamps and making lizards as slaves).

It's pretty much impossible to have a truly "good" faction in the way you can have an evil faction because by the very nature of evil it is less principled than good and more convenient in a situation where nations are competing with each other. That, and the fact that personality traits which allow you to accumulate power are generally considered more evil-leaning means that while a society can easily be structured on might makes right, or an alliance based on mutual hatred, it's much harder to have one built upon justice and rights because while everyone is squabbling about what those look like in a practical sense there's always going to be power-hungry people cutting corners and committing "lesser evils" for the "greater good."
Ironically, Conflux, which is officially neutral aligned, is the closest thing to a truly "good" faction because it's sole defining characteristic and purpose is opposition to the Kreegans, the ultimate evil. Even then, elementals themselves can hardly be considered to be "good" leaning.
This is not related to the OP I guess, but an interesting discussion. In fact, I am going to go make a thread about it now.

Conflux was hired by the Ancients, and the elementals actually hated the other living beings to a certain extent, with their Elemental Lords hating them the most.

Yeah that's why I said the elementals themselves aren't "good." But the Conflux as a faction sets aside their differences and hatred to fight the Kreegans.
