My RPG World Of Mythologies
Hello everyone,
I am a game designer and an amateur programmer and I recently made and RPG called World of Mythologies. And as a fan of HoMM it has some influences by it. It is a game I was going to make just for myself but I putted too much care on it and I love the result so now i would like to share it…
It is in it´s 0.99 version, it should be 1.0 really soon and ready to upload.
I guess some people may be interested if I talk a little about it and share some screens and videos…
So, what do you think if I start by the character creation? Well, you have 16 classes to choose from, and each of them has access to 16 out of 30 combat skills and 2 out of 5 adventure skills, wich can be upgraded from 0 to 100 (depending on the class, for example: a Golem can only reach 25 Speed, a Vampire can only reach 50 Offensive(he has other better weapons like Bleed)). The lenght of the game is of about 50 maps: 10 cities, 40 natural ecosystems, wich will take you about 3 hours to complete. The game is linear, you start your adventure at the Citadel Albarracin, buy stuff to the NPCs, and then go to the Green Fields, once there you will advance from point A to point B and start encountering random events and enemies (There are in total 50 different events, and 110 different enemies, 10 of them are bosses and there are a few special ones like the White Lion at the Lost Savannah or the Kraken hidden in the Deep Sea waiting to kick your ass). At the end of each phase you will face a Boss Battle.
What makes this game special is its simple and addictive design, it´s replayability, and the fact that it is very hard to beat since you must be very cautious with your money/food/potion management, and of course, very cautious on how you spend your skill points or else you won´t reach very far. And… I think that’s all the basics. You can ask me anything!

Very good look! If RPG must be advanced character creations. A lot of classes skills statistics. Its the best road to interesting gameplay.

The dirty background doesn't allow proper read of abilities and stuff. Use something uni with less variations, like Heroes.

Has potential. Salamandre is right, in my opinion.
Nice how I do recognize artwork used for the characters.

The background is black marble. Is it really that confusing to read? i mean i know the white colour botters a little but i didnt thought it was that much, i can read it pretty well, maybe because i already know what it says...
Well then i`ll take it into serious account and probably change it, thank you for the feedback guys.

I changed the contrast on the background to make white letters more readable, do you think it is better now? (i changed the 3 screens on the OP)

It's better, but of course, not final version, I guess.

I hope not, i am thinking of adding some golden decorations and borders.
I like the black marble, maybe another solution would be to add black borders to the letters, but the thing is i did this proyect on Delphi and i dont think it allows bordered letters
Before changing the contrast i searched for better background images but couldnt find anything better. Maybe some papire and changing letters to some kind of brown... i wanna try that but again i couldnt find any good papire background yet.
So to be honest i am not sure yet. It may be the final version for v1.0, and probably later i will add 1 or 2 more background types and the player can choose beetween them the one he likes the most.
