Hero speciality according to the heroes race
It might be too late to add this, or even impossible because of the advanced classes specialities, but I was thinking, maybe they could give each hero a speciality depending on his/her race. Also, each race should look different, although the class outfit should stay the same. 'Cause now you got demon, human and lich deathknights for example, they all look like a dead body.
Some examples for specialities:
-genies: have the ability to fly, can cast spells from genie spellbook at reduced cost
-humans: are faster, have 20% more strength
-dwarves: have 50% magic resistance without the magic resistance skill, are tougher
-halflings: (there are some mages who are halflings) extra damage to lvl4 creatures, +3 luck
-efreet: ability to fly, fire immunity, cost more gold pieces than other heroes.
-orcs: dunno, orcs are weak in the game, (trying to think of an ability)
-elves: have extra ranged attack
-minotaurs: have 30% chance of blocking an ennemies attack
I think I have them all now
tell me what you think, maybe some suggestions, and what other races would you like to be included in the game?

True, but again its like asking for all 48 classes to have a unique appearance and animation -- it's not going to happen.
In HOMM2, a female wizard looked like an old man. They didn't even have separate models for the genders.

good idea, I forgot ogres though:
-ogres: giving them bloodlust would be practically useless, so I give them an extra melee attack, giving them three attacks on grandmaster melee.

Ogres (creatures) should have an extra turn in one round. First turn would be at normal speed but the second one whit speed decreased to zero. On heroes it would be too great (use potion of immortality at first turn and then attack) but on ogres (not ogre magies, they don't fit the style and they are usles) it would make peolpe think if they will buy cyclopes.
BTW, was Aislinn female in HOMM III? Because it is in HOMM IV!

And for the ogre heroes? Maybe they could use two handed artifacts with one hand!

How about the heroes get specialities that depend on the time of day that you hire them, and randomly given based on the letters in their name?
So if you hire an order mage at 12 am and his name is Dracon, he gets 2 times the spell points and does 30% more damage to all dragons. Yeah, that would rock!! =D

look bjorn, you are making the subject look dumb, while it isn't. Is it normal that all minotaur creatures have 30% of blocking, and the heroes that are minotaurs too haven't? I don't think so

I wish--although this will never happen--that they would have actual Dragon heroes, not just bring in Heroes like Mutare and then have them killed off by Barbarians(but she lives, I tell you, lives)

When I thought about your dragon idea I remembered an old idea about mounnts. I mean when you have recruited a new hero from tavern he doesn't have a mount. He just walks and fight on foot. But then in stables you can recruit some horses. There would be a skill called riding in scouting (removes stealh). Whitout riding you can ride normal mounts (camels, horses...) but you couldn't fight with them. Whit riding you can battle on rides, get bonuses when riding and could ride better horses. On GM you could get for example jousting bonus and could ride on everything like dragons, pegasi, unicorns, griffins... Mounts would have specials too. And only on mounts you can use lances. There would be a mount slot on the hero screen.
Horse: no special bonus
Camels: bonuses on desert
Elefants: bonuses on swamp and on them you can shoot over walls
Nightmare: get bonuses on lava and terror
Griffins: flying, unlimited retallions for the hero
Unicorn: blinding, magic aura
Pegasi: flying, hit and return
Dragon: uses breat attack before hero's attack
Feel free to give more ideas.
But where would stelth go? Well that's my old idea. Since it's might and magic then there should be 5 might skills also: thievery (stealth, bargain, gambling) for Asylum.
On stealht mode (a new button) you could try to steal artifacts on armies and heroes. Stealth is what it is. Bargain decrease cost for everything and gamling gives the hero luck and morale (on GM to maxium).

I like those ideas Largo. Although the flying ones (Pegasi and Dragon) should be harder to get, and perhaps only carry the hero, not his troops.
How about a Tiger for forest movement bonus?

That mount idea is great. Add zebras, though -- that's what the Preserve heroes ride!
Or, I suppose, if you just got a regular horse, it could look like whatever alignment the hero is...

I've been thinking more about this riding thing. Horses could be purhased from stables that can be build in every town (and there could be external ones also). Only your hero gains movement bonuses from them. They can be ridden by every hero on the adventure map but you need at least basic riding to bring them to the battle field. Basic riding also allows you to ride whit camels, elefants, tigers and zebras. But you can't shoot on them. You need expert riding to shoot from them. You can also ride better mounts like nightmares and unicorn. Master gives you jousting bonus and GM ability to ride on flying creatures.
Camels, elefants and zebras are "artifacts" and as said before, can be purchased from stables. You move them on the mount slot and voila! But for other mounts (creature ones) must be first purchased from the dwelling (then we have to add pegasi in of course). And then when you drag the creature on the hero, one of them will be transferred to the hero and a question will pop up: "Do you want to use * gold to tame and saddle the * as a mount?" If your riding skill isn't enought it would say your hero has no skill yo tame the furious beast! You can put it off by doing this vice versa.
On battles, the hero always dies first. Camels, elefants and zebras will run away if the hero will die but other ones will then act like normal ones. Maybe champions would have a precent possibility to drop a hero out of the mount! Stealth doesn't affect mounts.

It could be cool, but if you add a new skill 'riding' then what will the other three skills of the family be?

You didn't read my post to its end, did you? I said riding would replace stealth and:
