Pop up text and dialogue
Hi everyone,
Trying to speed up my learning here, as digging around in the documentation is a bit of a challenge.
Fairly simple goals - I'd like to display text (such as dialogue or a description of the environment) when a specific hero enters a tile or a region.
Once I know the syntax and content of that script, where do I then put it? I'm so used to the H3 editor and its triggers, the fact that I can't just place trigger objects wherever I want has me thinking a bit backwards.
Any help would greatly improve my ability to tell a scenario's story! TIA

oh hello, TheBaron, long time no see, I remember you from the old days!
the scripts have to be typed/pasted in the script editor in the map properties window, but unfortunately it is quite unstable and often crashes after closing. Therefore I recommend editing the lua file directly by opening the h5m file as zip archive (after it was created in the editor)
also make sure the ingame console is active for debugging
