Help with Single-player scenarios!
Hello!
I was wondering one thing - how do you play singleplayer scenarios with AI allies? It always seems like no matter which singleplayer scenario I join, it is always the enemy having allies and not me.
Is there a hidden setting or something? Because I am new to the game still and have no figured out the old UI it has.
Thanks in advance.

You can use the map editor for setting up alliances, it should be intuitive.

Try a WoG/ERA (Custom Alliances). You can play against all allied computer or 4 vs 4 etc Only WoG/ERA. So you can play a original RoE, AB & SoD in WoG engine, but no HotA. I have a fun.

You could edit the properties, or you could look for maps that have this setup already.
Select "New game" -> "Scenarios" from the main menu. Now select one of the first maps "Allyria" if you have it, and hit "Next" (I have GoG complete version, so you might have a different set of maps if you don't).
You should see a list of 6 players with one of them being human (you). At the right side of the list you will see a little shield with a number on it. The top three have the number 1, while the bottom three have the number 2. These are to designate team 1 and team 2.
So, playing this particular map will get you a 3v3 with 2 AI allies vs 3 AI enemies.

Can the same be done with other scenarios? Err...I mean are there other scenarios like that one?

So if there is a map with multiple players that you would like to turn into a team map, open up the map in the H4 editor and take a look under campaign->map properties.
You should see a "Teams" tab that you can play around with.
As far as other maps like that one, you would just need to click "next" for each of the scenarios to take a look to see if there are teams

Why thank you. And I bought the GoG Complete version and that scenario you previously mentioned is not there. Am I missing something?

Ah you are probably not missing anything. I've had the game for a while and have downloaded many maps, so it may be one of those. I'll take a look through some more maps to see if they have allies or not.

Something else to help you find the maps you are looking for: You can sort by map type at the top of the scenario selection screen, and look for multiplayer maps.
Also, if the name of the map has "(Allied)" at the end of it, that seems to have teams like you're looking for. These also tend to be the multiplayer type maps.
