Poll Question:
A solution to the problem of Romania's name
As I have expressed previously, Romania is in dire need to change its name to something less confusing, since it is not Roman but only a former Roman province, so it makes zero sense to call it Romania.
For a long time I didn't know how to fix this, but then I realize that Sudan already has the solution. There is Sudan, and then there is also a South Sudan. So, why not do the same for Romania?
The new name of the country can be South Ukraine. What do you guys think?

I totally agree with Kip. Soyville doesn't sound bad either. Also, I might feel like hiring a band of gypsyes over the ocean to skin all squirrels in your vicinity, BlizzardBoy.

Chad Romania...
Chad is obviously in the wrong here, not just because they started using their flag about a century later but because Romania defines the proportions and values of the three colours, while they don't.
On the other hand, it's a boring tricolor...
(also, Dacia is a more badass name)

There you go. Even easier. It can call itself North Chad. We don't have to use my idea. I am a reasonable person.
My original idea was to call every Balkan country "South Poland" and then assign an Arabic numeral to the individual states. For example, Croatia could become "South Poland 1" and then we go through the list. But then I realized that the countries would fight over who gets lucky number 7 and it wouldn't work.

I agree. I'm partial to Dacia as well. As a former president of ours said, "Za dacs come from za tracs".

what about Lower Danube, Lower Istros Northern Bank, or South Carpathian?
there are deserted village in Low Beskid Mountains in the region I live named Królik Woloski (Vallachian Bunny) and also populated Królik Polski (Polish Bunny) nearby 
(in Polish Królik is similar to Król(King)that is real origin of the name)

Well, there ARE those who WOULD call Germany Greater Bavaria.
But anyway, "trans" is Latin and means "beyond". So Transsylvania is the country or region beyond Sylvania - which doesn't exist as a country name; (it's also Latin and means "woodland").
Which makes Sylvania available as a country name.
Considering this forum, I think it would be a nice name. The Russians would love it (we know all Russiand play Homm and 5 was made by a Russian developer. Perfect.

Yes it means land between bow of Carphats. But hills are in big part full of trees. So very good name Trans sylvania. Alternative name is Seven forts. In slavic languages 7 Gorod. G = F D = T because its old human word the same in various languages.
But you must know that hard core of this region is Hungarian area. Theres no logical border beetwen Hungary and Romania. Present border is completly arbitral dictat of great powers agganist Hungary.

It is true that Transylvania was part of Hungary for hundreds of years. And furthermore it is also true that Romanians were and are the majority there.

I told about hardcore Transsylvania! Majority of this region has Hungarians. But of course a lot of parts od former Hungary has Romania population. So I told is hard to make border:
