The "Sword of Frost"
The world is destroyed (at least the H3 one, Enroth) when the Sword of frost meets the Sword of Armageddon in combat.
However, do we ever see the famous "sword of frost" even?
I do not mean in cinematics, I mean ingame.
As far as I know, the Sword of Armageddon exists and is very powerful. But there is no "Sword of Frost".
What would be it's stats? Did any mod try to add it? Or am I insane?
I think such an important artifact to the story should at least have had some ingame representation...

When I asked a while back about a Sword of Frost, there had not been one added to either H3 or H4.
Not sure if anything has changed since then, but maybe someone has.
You're definitely not insane, it would be a great artifact to add and could be put to good use in a Reckoning campaign

what would be the point of having it? wouldn't the possibility of it making contact with a hero who had armageddon's blade kind of, i don't know, nullify that game?
my question is, if those swords clashed and destroyed everything in the blink of an eye, how exactly did anyone escape? or was there already an exodus beforehand?

As far as gameplay, I think that can probably be overlooked.
To your question: I think it was said the sword killed anyone within 100 miles of the blast, but those further away, survived.
The ensuing volcanic / tectonic activity is what destroyed the world (made it uninhabitable).

I'll answer the second question. The swords didn't destroy everything in the blink of an eye. You could say they activated a self-destruct mode instead (without destroying the planet itself, only its surface).
Everything is explained here: https://www.celestialheavens.com/homam-iv/jennifer-bullard-lost-manuscript-files?showall=1&limitstart=
As for why it should be there? Why should Armageddon's Blade be there too? It should be ditched!

i think they both could be available, as long as they both can't be in the same game/map together. that would make sense.
also, thanks for the info.

Artifacts ingame don't need "lore-only" interaction.
Also, even if hero vs hero fight, in H3, heroes actually never enter combat. They stay off the side on the battlefield, remember?
So there is 0% chance that Sword of Frost and Sword of Armageddon clash ingame, even if it is added...
Also, about the state of Enroth, this is speculation but maybe some parts could still be unhabitable, deep underground and away from tectonic lines. Another possibility are their moons AFAIK? Or some floating structures.
In any case, it will cool down eventually
