ERA 2/WoG (with HD mod) TERRIBLE lag, unresponsive even on main menu
Hey, it's been a little while since I last played any ERA/WoG map and I wanted to revisit one of my old time favorites. But I've discovered that my game is unplayable.
The issue got absolutely ridiculous once I launched the map and opened unit experience window - I couldn't close it, the button "ok" was unresponsive, hovering over things took few seconds before it even displayed the proper text, but even when the hover-over text said "ok" and I clicked the ok button, it still took very long to close the window.
The game is sluggish even on main menu, buttons seem erratic (they just flicker the 'pushed down' state in a fraction of second), picking anything makes it feel like it's running on 5 fps and in game, moving a hero does move it in skips like the game is, indeed, running at 5 fps.
This is a freshly downloaded newest version of ERA 2 from Heroes Community. I ran the game without any mods active aside of Wake of Gods. I'm running Windows 10, but it has worked for me before, like 2 years ago or so, on the same system.
I don't know what's wrong or what has changed.
After installing ERA I had to reinstall HD mod or it was giving me errors. I tried then reinstalling ERA again and again I had to reinstall HD mod. I don't know if it means anything, but mentioning it just in case.
Thanks for any help.

instead of ERA 2, use latest ERA 3, or modified pack, called ERA HD Gaming Build.

Ah, thanks, that worked. I'm getting an error though (doesn't seem to break the game right away):
It says: ResourceManager::GetBitmap816 could not find the "bitmap8" resource "HPSZ0001.PCX".

Nevermind I got a lot more errors, I reinstalled everything once, got new errors, reinstalled it again and all the errors went away. Logic? Not found. Working game? Found. And that's what counts
