Heroes 4 ULTIMATE creature showcase
These creatures are for the V6 of the mod, which isn't available yet at the time of writing (but soon enough...)
(Note that for practical forum viewability, these screenshots have been reduced from the max ingame resolution)
The Werewolf is a humanoid canine creature which attacks with huge claws. They cause panic on their enemies, and then return to their starting position. Enemies may even be stunned by a Werewolf attack.
Werewolves are also able to rapidly heal their combat wounds, but can't replace their fallen.
Werewolves are a neutral creature, being too marginalized to be incorporated fully into a faction, but align with Chaos.
(replaces Trolls)
Note: This is an all-new graphic for H4, provided/converted by Mirage and improved by NimoStar.
The professional Rogue has little in common with the bandits of more savage times. They even have a ranged attack that poisons their opponents at a distance, though they can only do so once. However, their first strike and poisoning ability in melee also remain, making them an interesting foe.
(replaces Bandits)
Note: The Rogues won't be confusable with Chaos might heroes. Besides the recoloring, Chaos might heroes now use different graphics.
Harpy Shamans are a higher type of harpy, having ascended understanding of reality; this is displayed by them being detached permanently from being grounded in combat.
Harpy Shamans are also Immaterial, greatly aiding in their defense. Their Weakening attack combined with their ability to fly means they can rapidly degrade the performance of an enemy army.
They make an integral part of Might armies, should you choose to go for them instead of the quick and deadly Nomads.
(Enhances Harpy. Portrait change pending.)
Note: This is an all-new graphic for H4, provided/converted by Mirage and improved by NimoStar.
Frostwights are undead ghostly apparitions that attack travelers to cold and desolate lands. They have a few ranged, poisonous shots. Their attack counts as cold, making them the only creature with a ranged Cold Attack. This means heroes can prevent part of the damage with a potion of Protection from Cold, for example.
Frostwights can be raised by necromancy in a *secret* circumstance, but otherwise are not a regular part of Death armies.
(replaces Gaygoyle)
Note: Since Infernal Liches aren't back in because they look just like the old Tarkin, this is a sort of alternative that looks quite different, even if it isn't a mainline Death creature. Frostwights have a partial transparency effect which is noticeable ingame, making them appear slightly different in distincts enviroments.
Old: Forest Wardens are a semi-neutral Nature creature. They are hyper-ranged archers, the only kind of creature to shoot three times by default. They also have no damage penalty due to shooting range. However, this focus on ranged attack leaves them as a very disadvantaged creature on melee combat.
Forest Wardens can be summoned from the Creature Portal by human players in Nature towns.
(replaces Waspwort.)
Now: Forest Wardens shoot only once with no range penalty, but they are sonimble that they also have first strike in melee, the only ranged creature to do so.
What do you think?

Looks great!
I'm dying to know how frostwights can be raised. They would serve well as a much needed ranged offense for Death.
Frostwights look like the sort of scary unit to qualify as tier 3 though. Wheras you have them positioned as tier 2 with corresponding stats.

Well, you see, my hands are tied in that regard. Frostwights replace Gargoyles, which means any map that places gargoyles or gargoyle dwellings would have Frostwights instead. Thus, to mantain balance,it is necessary that they keep the same creature tier.
The only viable way to up-level the Frostwight would be to replace Goblin Knight with it, and I think people like Goblin Knight too much for that already.
They are still quite scary though due to the ranged and poison...
And well, remember that Death already has succubi as ranged level 3 : )

Sadly enough, westill have no *easy* way of sprite conversion, and Mirage isn't doing any more.
If you can convince Mirage to make more creature sprites conversions (such as the ones I showed from Avadon series), or know someone else up to the task, that can be done for Greatest Mod or a new one.
