HOMM7 Skirmish vs Scenario - What's the difference?

The standalone random map generator when creating new map, you select "new adventure map", then you are given customizations options before you generate a map. Theres an option for skirmish or scenario. What's the difference? All I've noticed is that one of them ramps up the price of buildings in towns is there anything else?
