Voted h5 because i had most fun playing it in multiplayer. H3 and H2 are also very good.

Yeah, I was debating whether to vote between H3 and H5, which are both great IMO, but in the end I decided to vote H3.

In my opinion...
H1 is good.
H2 is great.
H3 is great.
H4 is innovative but maybe too much
H5 is not bad as a game but visually displeasing
H6 on the other hand is visually ok but too simplified game.
H7 is an attempt at making a game with the best of all the previous, with varying degrees of success. Not worse than 6 or 5 for me though.
So between H2 and H3, I voted H3 because I had the most fun with it.

I like both H3 and H5. I did play H3 as a 9/10 years old child so, its great. And i come back and play HoMM5 when i was around 16, and was my come back to the series so... i cant be purely objective.
But aside some changes H5 is pretty similar to H3
I did play some H2 and H1 after that and they are great but H3 is a far more complete game

I agree with H4 being too innovative, i did think it got one of the greatest OST of all the series (other heroes got really great specific songs like H2 sorceress or H3 Stronghold but H4 is amazing all around)
H5 art is not my favourite; i dont think all units look bad but some did look bad. H6 did look way worst to me

The best H3, and then H4 after H5,5.. We have a poll.. But we take a repeat.. too my research..
Ok I've played H1 and H2 on the GAMEBOY.. H3-H5 on my computer.. Today I play H3,5, because of broken motherboard and laptop with W10 can't play on the battlefield.. Only quickcombat.. Hmm this poll isn't so accurate.. If H3 or H4.. I vote H4.. If H3,5 or H4E, I vote H3,5 due to an original than inexperienced H4E did nerfed, buffed this year, when H4 released.. But if H3,5 or H4.. I vote both.. Then I vote H4, even if I can't play than advanced level + quickcombat.. Why? I miss H4.. No bugs, slow & haste, resurrection, etc Complete! Only AI bug..

But the AI really ruins it. And the memory leaks. I played it a few times but after seeing everything once, there just is no point in playing it again. It really is a pity.
Btw. I voted H1. It is lacking in variety compared to the sequels, but today I see that as an advantage. No running to all those power ups, only XP matters. I originally didn't like the spell system in H1, but after experiencing the basically unlimited spells in H3 I changed my mind. Most important: The official H1 maps are very well designed. H3 comes with a lot more maps, but most of them are trash.

So you believe the original H4 is better than the H4E?
i did try H4 without mods sometimes and it feels more like an RPG experience i did focus on appreciate the atmosphere with the music and thats amazing, but i hate some new mechanics compared to the rest of HoMM games

Interesting i see that H1 have some good design maps for his moment but i am not sure about h3 maps being trash

Heroes Of Might And Magic 5 is close to my heart.

In H4E you can resurrect your troops.. You need Life 5lvl spell..  and you can collect your bone dragons, if you are using Necromancy
