No sense! IMO.. 
Tocath recommends Dessa, Gundula, Terek and Saurug.. You must to think a final.. A good alternatives, why not take all of them.. Remember player with different ally can hire them.. Thus the best heroes..

Dessa, Gundula and Gird are pretty decent heroes not only for Stronghold but also for other factions. Saurug is good support hero for Castle and Tower, because of gem production, Terek with Haste and Tactics can turn into decent warrior. Zubin is inferior version of Gurnisson, as he has artillery, but doesn't start with ballista.
