Poll Question: Imperial vs Metric
Okay I know it's a little more than the inch versus the centimeter but for sake of argument...
The old saying goes "the bigger the better"
I wish to see semi serious arguments for/against inches and centimeters.
The poll is (not) actually an INT check.
Give foreigners an inch they take a kilometer.

Centimetres are easier for doing math/physics with, but inches are more useful for human measures. This pattern is true for basically all of metric vs imperial.
Be like Canada and the UK and use both!

In my country there's no imperial metric, in a sense, officially used. I don't like these broken-down measurements.

What makes imperial better for human measures? Metric is easier in literally every way. Everything is divisible by 10.
The only two redeeming qualities of imperial imo is that it's great at annoying everybody else who doesn't use it, and also "imperial" sounds much more badass than "metric". That is why it needs to be kept.

What makes imperial better for human measures?
Because an inch is about a thumb, and a human is 5-6 ft. They work really well on the scale of humans estimating human sized distances.

That is if 10 is all you can count up to.
Not only conversion from one imperial unit to another is ridiculous due to arbitrary factors, when in low inch territory you'll face fractions (3/32, 11/16,...) instead of decimal values.
It's a shame funny units are used globally in aviation and seafaring.

I like the metric system but I've only seen
"1e" type of expressions in videogames.
A lot of video games these days use this terminology. I guess A=1000, B=10,000...
Anyways I have to ask what a traditional metric ruler uses. The ones I see in the states all are imperial based, 12 inches. With centimeters and millimeters usually on the bottom.
I wish time was not usually 1 hour/minute unit equals 60 of minutes/seconds. Like why the heck didn't we just go by 10's and 100's

We could maybe merge them and call stuff centimiles and kilofeet.
And why did we start calling multiple foots, feet?
Would it be kilofoot for 1000 feet? Or kilofeet?
