Get screwed over you think people aren't making money off the donations? If so explain to me how people donating blood aren't helping line hospitals, personal, and other organizations pocket books.
Then they charge insurance as much as they can.
Especially ones funded by tax payers.
So tax payers are paying hospitals to administer blood transfusions,

I just want to know who all profits. I understand overhead costs. Delivery, storage, transfusions etc..
But realistically how much does a transfusion cost the hospital? They tend to slap as high of fees as they can because insurance will cover. Which hits the tax payers a lot of times.

Well, some enterprise pay young people for their blood in USA
Good way to pay some costs of college campus, so I heard
Of course this may go to Thiel-style vampires and such, which use transfusion of young people to extend their life.

In the US atleast, we have plasma donation centers where people can get money for plasma. They take our blood, extract the plasma, then return the blood.
If there is a way to sell our blood here i'm not aware of it.

And yet, the number of times I've seen it in American movies and TV series makes me think otherwise, at least in the black market.

Here people usually donate when they have relatives/friends in the hospital.
