I think it's just impossible. Let say you were given a task to save a mind cluster. But when you actually be in the proximity, people (it's your word) will die. Discontinue their existence is the closest word. How you define your sanity? I mean your are very dependent on biochemicals. Do you really believe that you are alive? Just ask yourselves if you know something else.
