First...Pandora...thanks for the great thread!
I like toh for so many reasons!
Let me thank Ves for his dedication and openness (hey he hasn't closed down my favorite thread "what is honor" even though he thinks it is dumb...hehe...well at this date buddy it looks like the thread might be dying on its own ) I also appreciate my good buddy dEth8...for those of you who don't know him, he is quite a man of integrity who dedicates thankless hours to keeping toh alive and pumping.
I like toh cause of the friends I have made...and I mean good friends!
I love toh cause of the diversity in which rockers, nerds, rappers, computer freaks, jocks, students, professionals, mothers, fathers, psychos etc. can come together and engage in play and real discussion where all are accepted despite our differences.
I have met people I would of never of had interaction with due to distance, that have made my life more complete (Pandora, Ves, Yawacko, Mocara, LB, JB, etc...dEth not included cause I knew you before I became an ole man…lol) Who could imagine I would actually get so into a game that I have phone conversations with so many "strangers"....who I now consider friends.
I love the balance in toh in which it is open to new ideas yet structured to provide a sense of respect, continuity and stability
I love the helpfulness I have experienced in toh as most players are interested in others and willing to provide helpful game advice as needed.
I appreciate the toh board for some interesting discussions with Zedrin, Ichon, etc.)
Most of all besides the community...I appreciate how toh has made this game continue to interest me and provide hours of free entertainment

i 100 % agree with consis.
idea of toh was great, the management was/is very good.
the key point is to transform a bunch of separate players into a real community (no compulsory need to be huge) where some friendship took shape, even if most of them are not more than virtual yet(hope future will improve this status) ,toh becoming a place where you can spend in a pleasant way those few hours of your spare time , playing or chatting.
that's the true greatest achivement of that ToH system and i bet it was the Rob's goal too, when he thought about starting this few years ago.
I do appreciate this work, and wish long life further more.
Greetings to everyone involved.
have a nice day
P.S. i think it's time to have your income increased to 145.000, for your good ideas Rob

Consis is right, I was there too, in the Diablo gaming and the C&C online gaming. Very cheat-heavy, immature and agressive gameplay.
I think what keeps games like Homm apart from other online games is its more mature audience, not just in age category, but that it requires more patience and 'comraderie' to enjoy heroes.
It was very much a reason why I opened ToH in 1999, I enjoyed the community.
