I'm not often sad, but this is what I would do:
Listening music is a good thing to do, when you're sad (or whenever, really ), but it's important to listen to right kind of music - at least it shouldn't be too sad not to make you even more sad. I think it should be pretty calm and beautiful kind, but it's a personal matter.
This is a part of a text I found when surfing:
"...go into Nature. Nature is here for you. It is so filled with vital life and energy. Avail yourself of it. It is there for the taking. It is your birthright, as an earth being - to be with the Earth, to be with the trees, and the wind, the sun and the rain.
These things add to you.
They regenerate you.
They recreate you. . ."
I totally underline this (though this too can be pretty personal). It's incredible, what a little solitary walk in the forest can do to your mood. I always become happier and forget my worries in the nature. Of course not everyone can easily reach nature if they're living in a big city, for example. So I'm pretty lucky to live in a Finnish town, where there's lots of nature nearby.
What else would you people do?
