Interesting....
Hmmm, I go to google.com, search for the name of a co-worker who use to work with me at 3DO (both of us are ex-testers there), and I come to this site. Apparently there was a thread listing the credits, and how you wanted to kill the designers and testers before Heroes 5 would start development.
My question is, do you know the whole turth behind the testers world? Do you know the pain we go through, trying to make sure a game is good? Do you know of the smackdown we receive daily from developers who just want to get the fricken title out the fricken door?
Show the testers some lovin. We fight the good fight. We fight the battles the developers won't.... FOR THEIR OWN GAME.
Please, think of the testers. Because each time you blame the testers, God kills another good game. Either that, or if you blame the testers, the terrorist have already won. You choose.

On that note I would have to say your mixing your personal life a little too easily with your gaming... step back.... take a deep breath.... and I promise you won't REALLY start breathing fire, or see fairy dust fly from your finger-tips (maybe a little fairy dust-whatever floats your boat, if you know what I mean). It's great you're a tester, used to be one myself, no reason it has to supercede your "mortal" life though.

DESIGNER: "No."
PLAYTESTER: "Shouldn't we fix these problems before we ship?"
DESIGNER: "???...What problems?"

So true.
I appreciate what the testers have done for this game but...
... maybe you should have whined and nagged to the designers a bit more. Cheers.

A thread like that on our Heroes Community? Yeesh. I never saw it, otherwise I most likely would have gone on a tirade agains the people who started it (I tend to hold some of the game designers in very high esteem). Regardless, sounds like something that would have been deleted. Anyone know the thread he's talking about?

That is the thread.
As for 'mixing' my lifes, if you worked in the industry long enough, and at this job long enough, you learn that it is sometimes needed to 'lash out' in good fun. Otherwise, being reamed by the de... uhh, let's just say that at times, the testers are trying harder to make a game better than the devs are, and it's frustrating when the corporate bullshizniz gets in the way.
As for H4 itself, I could give you a long list of stuff that happened with the development cycle once the game was in test. Unfortunately, doing so would violate my NDA with 3DO. BTW, there is a chat room for H4 that isn't logged by any chance? I could use a link to a good IRC channel...
Anyways, I appreciate the friendly responses.
