Ancients VS Tazar
I have a question.
Say I am Stronghold with Crag on lv 17 with expert offense specialty offense 26-18-10-12.
Say I built behemoth lair & castle on week one & last battle is week 4 so I would get 7 ancients, everything is upgraded.
Now my opponent is Tazar & his fortress he is on lv 21 with his expert armourer & specialty 15-32-12-14
He has all fortress creatures including say he fought some griffen conservatories a few of them & so he has 7 chaos Hydras & 6 Angels.
There are a hill fort so he can upgrade them too ArchAngels.
Now the final battle & ArchAngels go first & ignorantly attacks thy Ancients.
With all specialties & knowing Ancients got that ignore defense I think 80% or so.
How would it effect that attack from the Archangels & the counter attack.
Plus what do you think the outcome?

man Ancients are devasting with such stats. They will have 45 attack vs AA 62, which is reduced to 12, so a difference of +33 or an average damage of 119 per ancient. AA will do 70 damage per AA. So it will take 2.1 hits for AB to kill 1 AA, and 4.3 hits for AA to kill 1 AB. So I expect all AA to be dead in the first round killing only 1 Ancient.
This was assuming no offence and armorer. Now given the hero levels Crag should have 55.5% offence and Tazar 30.75% armorer. If you multiply them directly you will get 1.08, i.e. 8% in Crag's favor, but this is misleading.
First, offence bonus is applied on the base creature damage, not on the modified damage (in this case on the 45 average damage per ancient, not on the effective 119), so the offence bonus will be 45 * 1.555 = 70 for a total damage of 189. Now THAT damage will be reduce by armorer to 69.25% or 118 per ancient.
Second, offence does not affect ranged attacks, only melee, but armorer will reduce all damage (including lucky strikes, creature hatred, or specials (double damagage), which is not affected by ofence).
About the overall outcome - nobody can predict without complete info of number of creatures, hero skills and spells. Attacking ancients with AA is the biggest mistake one can make tho. AA must avoid ancients at all cost and let mighty cows and hydra tackle them.

that is a nice amount of numbers sos...but pretty worthless all you need to know ancients basically ignore defense, tazar kicks ass, hack kicks even more ass in a more offensive way, and thats it...
and bringen the Archs to the Ancients was a good move, some angel-slaying is never wrong

Stoney, u just wants to make fun or ....... ???
Anyway, AA attacks AB is dumb or not depends on whether any follow up attack by e.g. cows by teleport on AB. If not, AB won't die but we'll see AA completed killed in round 1 if you play reasonably..........then the advantage of fortress is nullified and battle outcome unpredictable.........

I was just reading this & where did thy Fortress come from.
It sounds to me wanted a mathmatical quetion so it's not a funny or dumb question but an example for a mathmatical question of how powerful thy AB really are?

It all depends really. Stats based on AAs vs ABs are great, but lets not forget that Tazar also has other creatures at his disposal that can mess up the one on one kool-aid. Just be prepared, weigh in your options, and make smart moves. Best of luck.
