Not usually
but it was a superior game for me and it's always installed in my games directory. Now, having failed HOMMIV in totally occupy my gaming time (I play, and I enjoy doing it, but it has been a less relevant impact for me that the ones HOMM2 and HOMM3 produced), I use to play both HOMM3 and HOMM4. If you have any good HOMM2 map (specially for the Price of Loyality Expansion) and want someone to comment on it, I can give it a try...

I have the game AND just happened to start playing recently (HoMM2 Gold, that is) but I have not gotten to finishing map I started one about an Elven Wood, you know, with fearies and such. Then evil comes in. (it always does)
Any way, I usally play Warlock (hehehe Mutiple Big_Blackies AHAHAHA)
Sad, isn't it? All this new stuff and we play 2.
Of course it could be worse, like playing King's Bounty and disscusing that (Not much to talk about there, eh?)
Oh, wait. I still play Kings Bounty frequently.
I am one sad person

Cheers Professor_Wiseass,
A long time ago I played Kings Bounty several times with a friend, and I liked it. I forgot about it until I got a copy of heroes 1. This was a great game, and I played it a lot, hotseat included. Unfortunately it couldn't compete with games as Diablo 1, Baldur's Gate or Starcraft so I eventually stopped playing. Until... someone told me heroes 2 was out. I rushed from store to store until I found it. Even now, I consider H2 to be the best game in the series. The atmosphere is fantastic, great balance and the graphics, music!, and the two campaigns were so perfect. Heroes 2 is the game that got me hooked to the heroes series. When I bought H3 and AB I enjoyed the new graphics and the extra units, but it lacked the feeling of the previous game somewhat. Heroes 4 is fresh, an improvement in a way, but the H2 spirit is lost even more. I've played H2 again several weeks ago and hours flew by. God I love that game. You're not the only one in that! You know there are still people making new maps for it? The game is a legend, and it will always remain that way.

I'm not saying I don't like H3, and 4. Heroes 4 is still very challenging for me, so I mostly play that now too. But every now and then I start up H2 or 3. I introduced a friend of mine to heroes recently and her slow computer only allows her to play H2. Heroes 3 works, but it takes ages for the AI to complete their turns. I really enjoyed the heroes 2 feel again. One sentence from the campaigns I'll always remember is this: Roland was good, kindly and honourable. While Archibald was... not so good. Then you look at their faces, archi with the red eyes, hehe, superb. That's really great, you don't get that feeling in the third and fourth game. It's a pity.
