You remember Tymeria ?

Hia all
Since H4 mp still hasen't knocked on ANYONES door yet..and therefore divisions are still dormat ( but still in the air as Ves states ) I would like to know if any of you still remember Tymeria tourney ? ( I can't remember the person who made it tho, do you ? )
I had to go waaaaay back in my screen shots folders to find a couple of the startpage and the World map of Tymeria.
But I found it...and I was thinking, with a little bit of alterations it could be a substitute to Divisions.
As far as I remember it was closed a couple of months after I joined ToH ( 2 years ago or something like that, back where I was Rightful_Sphere ) due to lack of interrest.
But, as I recall it was a cool sub-tourney ( under ToH ) and it was really time consuming for the creator. But many, daily, ask questions about Divisions..I know it would take some moderations as to the current automation ToH have now, and we have to be EXTREME addicts over a 9-12 months to get a real Division to run at it's best.
So my question is this ( to the creator of Tymeria as well ) Would it..or should I say can it be done ( as a subby, or stand alone thingy )?
Tymeria was also about conqering lands and try to keep those pesky hostile neighboors away from your land
I know MANY of the old timers who liked it ALOT..
SO...what do you think ?

Hia all
ups, but I can't edit, so here goes.
If it could be done, one player doesn't have to be a Legionnaire to start a Tymeria Team ( sounds cool don't ya think ; I play for TT as well )
1 player is the TT leader
2 is the Capt in command
3...
4....
5 etc.
So basically my idea is the same as divisions, but you don't have to be at a certain rank to start a T-Team.
And you don't have to have 10 ppl in your T-Team..thats kinda like the ToT teams we just 'finished'
That was me extra 5 pence to the pot

If it is the same Tymeria i know, then it wasn´t a part of ToH.
It was run by Pluvious, the son of "The Old One" (Monty Carlton, who did run "The Art of War" Tournament, a Heroes2 Tournament a very long time ago). Last time i talked to Monty (well also a long time ago :-)), he told me Pluvious has no longer a puter, so i guess he will not see your post.
But u are right it was a great thing but a lot of work too :-)

Yuup, I remember it well.
Good tourney! It's a shame Pluvious is no longer around.

I still have 30 to 40 of those maps if anyone is interested.
They could be used for "Blind map" play for sure. All "very" edited random maps.

Interested parties should e-mail me at

Heroes Of Tymeria

Pluvius (spelling?-I cannot quite remember) ran that tournament.  It was not a ToH tournament.  He seemed like a nice guy to me, and he also played in ToH some I think.

There were different parts to that tourney if I remember correctly.  The one about conquering lands I didn't participate in but it seemed much like "Lords subtourney" at ToH, though I am sure there were some differences.

The other tournament Pluv had was one where your character kept his artifacts from game to game and you played on what were supposed to be unknown maps that were assigned to you after each game.  I like that idea cause it was heavy on building a character that continued from game to game.

OOpps.. it would help if I read more before responding

I see poelzi already answered the question and my other thought of spelling must have been the correct one

Can it be done ?

Hia all
Hehehe deth8, some would say your getting old ( j/k )
But I now see some that remember Tymeria ( I know Zuddy does too ) INPUT ZUD
still can it be done, former ToH subby or NoN ToH subby ?
I have been thinking( mostly about beers ), since I made the thread but I REALLY think it could be a coolos idea..._xCragx_ you seem to remember it well..can we start to do anything about it ? ...I mean..the awakening of TYMERIA...mayhaps without the arties ( to much of a former Myths Thingy === many dont like that ie. xxxx wamp-Lords for starters ).
Just ..........well just as I posted ?!?!

You have mistaken me for someone else UT, sorry. I am not, nor have I ever been, _xCragx_ Or anyone else since Heroes2.
I am "CraigHack" only.

Anyway... I can provide the maps for anyone who wants to do something with them. I am kind of not playing at this time. Waiting for Heroes 4 multi or maybe just hoping to get fired up once again over Heroes 3.

Hello all

Yes, I remember Tymeria and Art of War and Encounters. I got started (addicted) playing on-line in the At of War Tourney. I found it hard to quit - I was enjoying it so much.

the idea

can be implemented in a future toh tourney; however, its essence is captured for future homm4 legionnaires and higher, as they utilize divisions and future subtourneys to enhance their 'characters' and apply them to grandfinal ToH games -- this of course would be over the course of a year or more -- a complete season.
