GameSpy Heroes4 Help
What ports must be open in order to play Heroes4 over the GameSpy network?
Thanks in advance.

I've been trying to find this out as well.. It seems my system can join games hosted on gamespy, but I cannot host from there.
I've heard rumors it was to do with dsl cable ect.. which I find hard to beleive, but I prefer playing over ip anyway.. I hate the room set ups on gamespy, and so its not a huge concern and is my suggestion

you can look on your computer what port it opens
start gamespy and a game with it
open a dos box (how depends on your system, but clicking start -> run -> typing : cmd , should do it)
then type netstat -a
this should list all your open ports

I have windows ME and could not either join or host and was pretty upset I was about to load win 98, until I did this:
I went to the control panel and to network settings, open network settings, on the configuration tab (the display that opens) there is a button that says file and print sharing. Click on that and then you need to click on i want to give others access to my files.
Now after doing this you need to restart you computer. Furthermore, I ALWAYS after gaming, turn it back off so no hackers welcome. If you have windows Xp I did make a tech support help link here in the ToH section. If these things dont help go ahead and e-mail me and I will try and give you a hand ... destro bud u too man I might be able to help, and would be more than glad to be of assistance
