Afaik Straker is the most useless hero in necropolis.I mean who would be using walking dead?

Yeah, Straker is the hero which I have never used at all because of the same reason  I also find it somehow odd that the AI really is likely to use him as main hero
For me the useless heroes are the ones who have useless speciality or secondary skills, like zombies in Straker's case... However, as secondary heroes they don't matter at all

I didn't see the mention yet i believe, but heroes that start with first aid as specialty skill......arf.....this is especially useless in the beginning and even if you get a big creature....the tent dies in a second
And of course a lot of the rangers have archery as a skill while their only ranged hero gets nuked from the beginning of the game, not the best bet.....

not if you have the "enhanced war machines" script enabled. you can continually upgrade your war machines, based on hero level. pretty neat.

Dude, this isn't WoG. Anyway, First Aid isn't the most useless, because at odd times it can be quite useful. Mainly in very specific maps though.

Straker even as a secondary hero is not worthy
Even a hero with Scout are better choice for secondary,not to mention Thane
Sometimes as a result of rage after recruiting Straker in tavern day 1 with no other choice.I would transform all his walking dead carry along with into skeleton outta of abreaction.

I would play Straker. He's a Might hero. He has a nice skill - Resistance. The reason Walking Dead are not used in the first place is they slow down your army. But Zombies with Straker are as fast as Skeleton Warriors. They cost an extra army slot but it's not a problem if you attack early.
Infernal Troglodytes are 1 speed below the rest of the army. Shakti is okay: Overlord, Offense, Tactics, specializes in Troglodytes.

I made a Straker map you may want to try.
It's quite funny, I think, but the aim of the map is, you have to kick Thant's ass and take his castle with Walking Dead only.

Straker gives you crappy units but at least he starts with haste, which might be important if your mage guild doesn't offer it....

Iona (I hate Genies and Efrets to have scholar)
Especially witches are so super useless as for attributes/skillchances.
