questions to the map makers
I am currently working on a map and need to know how to get something to work.
I need a hero to cross a placed event that will trigger the nearby creature dwellings to be under that players control. how is it done?
i tried: (under creature dwelling event [triggable event, only choice])
if "guards" = 1
then change ownership to red
else do nothing
placed event reads:
sequence:
display message "... blah blah blah"
set numeric variable "guards" to "guards + 1"
display message "... blah blah blah"
i am not familiar with the true/false variables, not too sure how to set them. if you know my solution, post it in the form i have.
other question:
i have similar problem, but instead of dwellings, its on neutral armies. i have it set up the same way, but i think i may need to change it to continous event instead of triggable.

Tutorials
There are a lot of tutorials on this site http://h4o.cjb.net(I hope this link works)
that might help you. I don't think there is one that is exactly what you want but they might give you some ideas they have helped me a lot. Good Luck!

You are welcome
I am sure someone else would have helped eventually. Most people seem to be happy to help with problems concerning the map editor. We need a manual for this thing big time. The guy that runs the site that I sent you to is a member of HC and posted his link in another thread. He has helped me a great deal.
