I'm sorry,
but this new mod is kinda.. well.. ridiculous.
We are for the most parts adults here. FOul language, Pornagraphy, ect ect sure.. give me a penalty.
But you can't be going around squashing peoples opinions and editting there posts wether or not they have what Conn feels are "backing arguments".
Maybe someone could define a mods jobs for me.. but as I see it.. the job is to moderate content and topic.. not edit opinions. And when I say moderate content.. I mean off-topic material..
not on no! someones feelings might be hurt. I better delete that. Arguing is healthy.. ANd unfrtunately there is two different worlds of homm gamers.. single and multi players. neither are better or worse.. and both require massively different strategies. And due to this fact violent and turbulent arguments will always be around.
So take a valium and relax conn.. We don't need a babysitter.
No offense meant.. I just think maybe some moderation is a good idea from the moderators

Perhaps I said something wrong.
One quick point, and then I'm gone. As a mod, you can't go squashing things that you don't personally like. Next thing you know it's AOL on here, and people aren't going to stand for it.
Yes, I agree that this is a nice place,and we should be able to kick back, have intelligent arguments, discussions, and conversations. What we don't need is a hall monitor who thinks that his job is to rule this place like a little tin god.
Tempers are going to flare, people are going to get off subject, but on the other hand, I'm sure we're all well enough behaved not to try to post porno, or try to direct people to illegal sites.
Give us some credit.

This is not the first time this bright mod uses his sword for his own leisure.
I thought, mods were prohibited to delete posts for their personal favors and dislikes.
I really would like to know what our mage of the land thinks about this.

And why the hell don't you comment on the situation instead of going offtopic and using your simpleminded accusation "whining"?
Why the hell dont you say if this bright mod is right or wrong in performing censorship even though it is against the FAQ rules?

Well, you also cant go to every new mod and hurl accusations or dislikes just because he's new and all that, I mean, sure the job description includes the voluntary use of himself as target practice, but you know what happens when a beggar gets a million dollars. He spends it all.
So you gotta tell this beggar how to spend his money, and guide him to use the money well. You cant just mock him and all, he's jus trying to do his job. Would you prefer it the other way, where mods are lazy and inefficient? *stares at Hexa*  because mods are exposed to that so many faults. Maybe if you put yourself in their shoes, try to imagine, would YOU do a better job? If you do, then go sign up. If you don't then don't complain that someone else is doing the dirty job for YOU!

I think all new mods start out a little OTT. Remember when Lith first got made a mod? There will be a cooling down period shortly followed by apathy, and then everything will be fine.

Well in that case as a piece of advice I suggest sending an IM telling him about this thread and/or others you think are an issue and then ask him to reply.
No offence, but val isn't here much, the chances of him looking into the issue without an IM are remote to say the least.
But as I don't give a damn really whether mods do or do not edit my posts I fail to see why I should care. It's all just more whining to me.

I was refering to the rights (thing to be owned) of the olives (plural) - therefore, plural possesive, and hence olives'.

She was simply pointing out that while it is okay to make fun of olives as a whole, it would be considered mean to make fun of a single olive. She was not correcting your grammar (see, I spelled it right this time!) by taking issue with your use of the plural possesive.
