Cleaning the Tavern!!!
We tavern mods have our plate full with helping Val clean up HC by removing 4000+ posts. So if any of you all in here have a thread you opened, and it is dead or you don't mind it being deleted please let us know!

Second: These new forums are great, and I'd love to see threads currently buried in the Tavern moved to more appropriate new areas. I'm also willing to go through the Tavern in search of likely canidates for moving (which is entirely out of the kindness of my heart and not at all a ploy to kill time and avoid studying  ). However, I'm a bit confused as to the difference between the Tavern and the Other Side of the Monitor. Political discussions are Other Side stuff; word games are Tavern material. But what about personal real life? Is "RL pictures of HC members" a good canidate for the Other Side? Or is that people sitting down and sharing their story?
Of course, if this project will just cause headaches for the mods, I will squash the organizing impulse and go find something else to do. But right now, it's kind of frustrating seeing these brand spanking new forums with only 10 topics, while the Tavern has 60 pages of random stuff with no rhyme or reason. (Can you tell I'm an Academy girl?  )

Thanks, i removed your thread, this will help Val a great deal.
Tavern is really for silly ,but not spam of flamming,posts where the other side is for real life threads, more serious matters.

Erasing all the threads over a certain age, regardless of content, and erasing threads because they won't ever be active again also erases some of the history of the board.  I don't know about others, but I've found looking over threads from several months back to be very helpful in understanding the references people make to, say, Dear_Morons and other "events" that I missed.
Edit: For the record, though, may I just say that this Tavern is a mess.  Many threads are still on the line between Tavern and Other Side (or I'm just still unclear on the distinction...), so I'm limiting my search to threads that should go to Turban Tribunal.

Talking about HC members in Real Life goes into Other Side of the Monitor - real life talk.
As well as any other discussion relating to real world, philosophy of life and such.

I have been away for some weeks, now I am back and HC is completely changed?!?!
Sincerely, I didnt like the change. Now we have to go looking for each section to find interesting non-Heroes post. Some weeks(days) ago, we just had to enter the magnific Tavern of the Rising Sun and we could find anything we wanted.
It is confusing, slow, and it will divide the community...
I didnt like the idea...

I do, and I think in time you will aswell.
It didn't take long for us to get used to it but this is actualy the first complaint I've heard about it.

Athimus_Phaeni, you will find some of the threads you want in the new forums, others that belong there too still have to be moved from the tavern. The tavern moderators are working on that. I know it can be confusing and hope you can get used to it without too much frustration. Perhaps the description under a forum's name can be of help. These changes have been made for the good of the community and I have faith in it that they will improve posting quality and reduce troubles. Good luck aswell

I can assure you with these new changes it will make your HC experiance more pleasurable! Things will be in there own place not scattered about, and it will just make HC run smoother IMHO

I agree with HeyYou... Old threads I think are useless...
But newsbies could make new threads that were made already, so I think sb should make list of threads that were made and now would be useless.

You can erase my thread "EagleEye" if you wish. It has served it's purpose now and I no longer need it.
