2vs2 MapMasters ?!?
Hey there Homm3 Community!!
When Motorschaaf and I set up the MapMasters tournament we thought we had a little something for everyone. A couple a fixed maps, a couple a random maps... BUT we have since come to realize that we forgot one very important faction of our community - The 2vs2 players!! So, we have decided to set up a round of 2v2 MapMasters at some point in the very near future. The only thing is, we don't know which map would be the best to have the first round on. We have picked a few of the ones we think are the most popular, please take a look and vote your choice. Or, if your true favorite is missing, please list it in your post!

PS. Dumb poll only allows 5 selections so I grouped the criss cross's into one. If you would like one of the criss cross maps, please select that poll answer and then list which one in particular in your post. Sorry for the complication -

i voted for open conquest. just a great fun 2on2 map. and also a lot teamwork required. on the crisscross map that no teamwork thats just allways the same boring snow

Just an idea for future Bracketed tournies of mayhaps we can pick players from the same time zone, like mayhaps a few hrs apart or so.
I find that most disqualifications are from players that are half way around the world & can rarely meet up too play.
Just a suggestion thats all.

Its a tosser map andi so my first guess would be .. me, but i dident so it must be u
My vote however went to final allied since its different every time and is never unbalanced due to artifacts so the stats dont become ridicoulus as on many other maps (cant stand the 2.5k chain light. etc). Makes for a fair game with lots of intersting strategies.
Let try to get this 2o2 started, would be great

Yes Sir!
I voted for open conquest, because well.. its by far my favorite 2o2 map..
Final Allied is also great and comes in a close second..
Lava Wars I think is the wrong choice here.. I think you'll find most games ending withing the 1st week due to suicides. As I am sure not only the top players would be signing up.
Anyway as Rych said..
But the 2min turn rule would be a must for me.. If 2min turns I'd have a good chance to fit a 2o2 in, with 4mins theres just no way.

I think it should be up to the players who are playing.
I for one need practice on 2 min turns because I seem to always run out of time & usually use my main hero last.
I think the 2-4 min turns should be up to the players playing.

no . 4 mins 2on2 suck suck ass. and usually end in one player falling asleep and a save which will never be finished. 2 min is the max i tolerate for a 2on2. it just gets too boring if u come to turn only every 2 hours.

As far as I know, if the time setting has to be 2 mins, only criss cross will be good for it, because on others the 'battlefield' is too open and frequently more no. of heroes/movement is involved.
There is to be only 1 map choosen for mapmasters??? cant we hav 3? different pple here specialises in different maps.
I will vote for criss cross remix or the old one of criss cross necro(5). Resource management is a huge aspect if you find something good in the other's black market. As to players interaction in cc, I remembered that once I retreated my main wif diplomacy to bpanik's (or issit sparo's?) side to get 9 mighty gorgons to join but still lost anyways.

we will have all maps which get votes as mapmaster maps but because 2on2 are harder to get played we decided to launch em one after another and not like in 1on1 4 at the same time. this vote here actually only incluences the launch order . (of course if a map gets 0 votes it can get lost )
@all:this poll will go till wednesday so tell all 2on2 players around about it so we get a good number of votes

I hate to be on Anditossers side but.. duh hg2vs2 really sucks
Last time i played it andi got blackie in camp first week and i got 3 relics all from sailors and tombs
fun for the moment but hardly fair.
Oh by the way andi attacked some imps or somtim with that blackie of his and had to retreat zzzzz ..

Ya i seriously think the coordinators here did "forget" to bring up a random map template suggestion too. Lucky enough they have us swedes to see these things and to point em out so you can fix em
