Did I just say it was beneath me? Or are people deliberately ignoring me?
I said it was NOT beneath me, I just don't have any clear opinion on the matter as I don't think about it all too much.

This reported
"Jan. 10
— WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Home heating demand and utility bills are expected to soar as a blast of Arctic air sweeping over the United States will create the coldest two-week period from the Rockies to the Atlantic coast since the winter of 1995-96, forecasters at AccuWeather Inc. said on Friday."
Wait a second I thought everyone agreed that there is a catastropic global warming occuring????? How can this be. The global warming "scientist's" must be right and reality wrong!

It's not something I know anything about I'm afraid, I'm sure there's more than just a rumour to the idea of global warming, but what extent it stretches to is another matter entirely.

Help we need more CO2
This just in
"Independent.co.uk
14 January 2003
An estimated 1,000 people have died in South Asia in the past month during a cold snap that saw temperatures stay above freezing but prove too harsh for the homeless.....
But this year aid agencies appear to be scrambling to hand out aid and the governments involved have done little – largely because the cold has lasted weeks longer than expected. Generally, sharp winter spells in the region are brief."
Wait a second how come their winters are usually brief and now they are so long they are killing more people...I thought horrific global warming was happening....oh no who my whole world is shaken...who can I believe if not the scientists
Apparently we aren't producing ENOUGH CO2....quick get in your cars and start them up...keep them running 24 hours straight...it might end these horrible winters we are having...it is your human duty to save earth...quick...lol

Right....... global warming is entirely and completely about rising tempretures and has absolutely no other effects whatsoever. I mean jeeeeeez man do you like scan scientific journals and the news for the dozen reports every month that might indicate it doesn't exist or something?

Which is linked to rising sea levels, droughts etc, etc right? All of which have uncountable articles proving them? So why does the 2 or 3 articles a month disprove it then?

Private debate or not : Global warming is about broad, overall trends. Average temperature worldwide has been rising for some time now, but nowhere in global warming theory does it say that there will never be cold days or cold snaps. Actually, the final effect of full scale, worst case scenario global warming is actually that Europe will go into another ice age as a result of the gulf stream being destroyed.
Put it this way -- if a nation is in a recession/depression and you find one or two people that are richer than they've ever been before, do you hold them up as evidence that there is no depression?

You are digging yourself in a deeper hole. Your premise was that global warming has more consequences than just warming. All those things you mentioned….sea levels, droughts are according to global warming theory CAUSED by rising temperatures and increased CO2. So yes global warming has to do with rising temperatures..that is the root concern about global warming…then based off of increased temperatures they decry the sea rising 20 inches and the air warming so much as to produce greater famine and heat related deaths. As far as proving…there is NO proof that global warming will have any catastrophic consequences. In fact there is a great amount of proof that global warming (more CO2) has huge benefits for the world (stronger and increased crops/plants, less cold related deaths, etc.)

Oh but that is what the global warming doomsayers EXACTLY did after the 98 (?) El Nino. They were ranting and raving how the end of the world was upon us…despite the fact that El Nino has been occurring for at least centuries. In fact the last GRAND El Nino occurred during what is known as the “little ice age”
