HOMM4 ? Definately a worth buying game !
I came back to apologize for my previous posts ! I was wrong ! Homm4 is a great game ! I was confused when i first got my hands on it nut after i have played it long enough i have realised that it is better then HOMM3 and it has a lot of improvements ! I won't mention them here ! If you are a begginer i advise you to play at least the campaigns and after that to make a judgement ! Don't do as i did ! The advanced players know what i mean.

Yes I know what you mean. I went through the same motions as you. It is better than HOMM3. The one reason that sticks out in my mind is the rules just make more sense, especially movement of units and heroes. Being an RPGer as well, I liked that shift from HOMM3.

I agree with you. My initial experience with Heroes IV was turbulent, I liked it for the most part, but I was also fustrated with it. Now, that I have played it for a while, I can appreciate the superior graphics, better combat, and finer tweaks to gameplay offered in Heroes IV. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wouldn't quite go as far as saying that it is better than Heroes III. Heroes IV does not have as many creatures, towns, artifacts, adventure buildings as Heroes III!!! which should be ammended in Heroes V.

exactly, i think it was so much new that i wasnt used to so i didnt like it in the beggining...but then the more i played it the more i like it. Now i like it much more then heroes3.
Only 1 thing i dont like: the heroes should have a special little ability that make them unique just as in heroes3,
where you knew all heroes by name, in heroes4 where all heroes of every type are the same you can just pick one no matter which.

Hmm. No. Not even after completing all the campaigns in H4 and H4TGS can I say the game's worth buying. It would be if it was finished (AI, balance, bugs). As it isn't finished and probably never will, it's inferior to H3. Campaigns are nice - in H4, not in TGS - but that's not enough if they aren't playable - which they aren't, thank's to the nonexistent AI :-(

I loved H4 from first look as much as I loved H3, H2, H1. And with time I loved them more and more because so much changes and improvements were done. And think about it...Game designers know that without many changes H3 and H2 were succesfull. But they have choosen hard path - the INOVATION. They were taking risk of loosing hardcore players but they could win possibly more (heart of old players and new beginners).
Everyone who doesn´t understand correctly what I want to say....sorry. My english is simply poor...
