More WoG problems...
That's just not fair! I've downloaded the 3.57 WoG patch from the FilePlanet and now the update program sais that the file is broken! I opened it with WinRAR and it says the same for some of the files! Is the file indeed broken or is this some problems with my computer? Plz help!
P.S. Since I use FreshDownload for file downloading and that link on FilePlanet opened a standard Windows downloading dialog, I copied the link URL into the FreshDownload and then started downloading... could this be the source of troubles?

Try using GetRight instead. No problems of that sort happened to me when downloading WoG 3.57 (oh, right. I didn't download THAT file with Get Right. Sorry). But still, I can't wogify the maps I play  .

I also asked that question on WoG official forum and Fnord said that I shouldn't use download accelerators at all.  I've downloaded it through standard Windows tools and now it's OK; try doing the same, then maybe your wogify will work properly.

You'll enjoy the newer improved WOG even more. Once you've established the game format , you'll want the new scripts done by fans. I have some...Are there any other people out there who would like to have thier scripts tested? Please send them to me.

Well, I've had GetRight on when I downloaded the file but the file wouldn't go through GetRight. So, according to what you are saying, everything should work ok. But it doesn't! I gave the file to a friend and it works perfectly on his machine. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

Well, WoG is just very problematic... I think that there's some way of Wogifying maps not through the game itself, but through renaming the file somehow... if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, 3.57 is just great! I'd only like to see Commanders a little changed in 3.58 (IMHO, Magic Power skill isn't valuable enough to advance in it). And for the scripts, I have some ideas (like Specialty Altar and War Machine Factory Enhancement), and I think I'll start scripting again. If you want, I can tell you when I'm done and e-mail those scripts to you.

I downloaded wog using DAP.
I installed it but then neither SOD nor wog didn't work!
So I mailed this guy,like it says in the instructions,and I've been waitin for him to reply for a week or more now!
I don't think this dude is going to reply at all,so I'm just back to SOD.

I know how to wogify maps through the game! Woohoo! And it's way easier than I thought.
Just disable the new chests, the adventure cave and the arcane tower options. Everything should be all right.

But those new chests, caves and the arcane tower are among the best of the wogify scripts!..
And sorry silx87, what's DAP? If it's something like "Download Acceleration Program", then it's the cause of the game not working. (proved by my own experience).

Ok,I mailed this other guy,and he mailed this other dude,
and now I got my help!
So I should be able to get wog to work now.
DAP is Download Accelerator Plus.
That was also a part of the problem.

Odvin, don't worry! The game is still great, even without those things!
Hint: if you turn karmic battles on, don't start a fight with wandering creatures when not having at least one shooter stack. I once had a goblin stuck in the middle of a pond  . No direct damage spells, no shooters! To retreat from a goblin, having 15 VLs and 150 skells...

Damnit,this wog thing is realy pissing me off!!!!!!
So here`s the deal
I always make sure I have more than enough free memory everytime I want to download something.So I have 50Mb free on Cdrive.
I download wog without any accelerators.After 4 hours it tells me there is no free memory!So okay,I close the window and make more free memory.After I have more than 70Mb I download again.And after 4 hours,guess what...no free memory!Damnit,how much ****** free memory does this ****** file need!Yeah,I know I need 100Mb or more to install wog, but do I need 140Mb just to download the ****** file?
Doesn`t make sense!Ok,whatever,I will keep trying till I either get it working or break something!
Hehee,the funny part is,when I get 3.56 working,I have to download 3.57!I really hope the game is worth this frustration!

@Odvin: yes, I had to! I had no way of reaching that darn goblin. There was a pond on the battle map. And the goblin was right in the middle of it, unreachable. I had to retreat, load game, build mage guild to get magic arrow and do that fight again.
@silx: Listen, Windows needs some disk space to work too! Software isn't omnipotent you know.

Huh... seems like WoG is only OK for single. IMHO, many of those scripts make the game disbalanced.
I wonder what will the 3.5 team do when Heroes V come out? AFAIK, 3DO still wants to remove heroes from battlefield in H5, thus dragging it closer to the HoMM3 standards. Will Slava & Co. then switch to HOMM 5.5?

Yeah,I know that,but when I have more than 2x the memory I need to download and it still doesn't work,that's what makes me angry!But that doesn't matter anymore.
So,anywho,I said I'm gonn try again and again!
Now,I have 160Mb!And that's while playng SOD!!
So if it doesn't work this time,I guess I'm just gonna be upset again and try again later.Ok,off to downloadin now,it takes 4hrs u know.

I already have Enhanced War MachineFactory script. Not only that, but a script where you can buy more than just one war machine in a town...plus other scripts....If you have scripts you want tested, send them to me, and I'll send you what I have, which is about 30 scripts in all

I don't keep track of those new scripts appearing on the WoG official site, so I didn't know about War Machine Factory scripts... Anyway, I've almost made a script for the Arena (still needs some changes though), and now I'm writing a big WoG campaign, but it'll be in Russian, so I guess you won't be able to test it.

LOL Lord Woock, you didn't need to Shift+Ins that so much! 
I'll try to translate it when I finish it (read: if I ever finish it). But:
1) I'm not very good in English, so some places could be bad... And
2) Some word jokes may lose their meaning and so I'll have to delete them.
The campaign will be (read: if it will ever be something) in RPG style. Generation of the character will be done through asking you several questions and choosing 1 of the 4 races depending on your answers (I've almost written that script already). The camp will be called "The Four Spheres" (bah, such an original name! you now know half the storyline  ) and it will be (read: pray for it to ever be something) humorous and atmospheric, I hope.
