Map Fixes

If you find something in a TOH map which you find unbalancing, or it is something that you just think needs to be changed, please post it here, and the map council will consider it.

I do have a suggestion.  I think that any recommendations of changes should be run thru the map maker before any changes are made.  Especially if the changes that are made affect the way in which the map maker designed the map to play.

DOnt forget all maps do not need to be a mirror image exactly.

It is impossible to please everyone. After I released my map Genesis I have had tons of compliments but also people wanting me to change this and that to fit there personal playing style. ONe person wants a tavern so they can have a lord and Barb every game the next person wants easier trading post guards so they can guarentee level 4's week 1... another person mentioned taking all guards off of thing that are out in middle so he could run his lone heroes to hit the powerups lol.  So, I just wanted to suggest that even if there are certain people that post ideas and suggestions about a map here that I would think the map council would talk to map maker first to see what he thinks.  Just some thoughts.

just a reminder ...

I think I posted this somewhere before, but it got missed.  The red side on Boring's Mtn. still needs a crystal mine, I think.

P.S. Jinx is absolutely right.  Gotta be careful, but Boring's Mtn. shouldn't be a problem since it's a CD map.

Ok, Boring's Mountain will be fixed promptly, since we dont hafto get the mapmaker's permission .

Well I made the thread because of several previous map arguments (the latest being the death valley one).

Super Heroes

I love this map but think blue is shorted by a few artifacts.  Red seems to have more large set arts. (mainly the two red gets in dense area of underground near teleporter)  I think 2 for blue need added in this same area.  also one player told me that red has an extra dream teacher compared to blues side (I never counted em)

yes, ves, you have a point, but tc is right about death valley.  Right side has huge advantage over left side... needs to be fixed.

got Iopoiu translated to reg H4 thanks to the H4util.exe by Slava

but I havent released it just yet, because there is much still to fix.  The Gathering Storm version, although rigorously tested, still has probably a good 10 bugs: (granted, some arent even noticeable, but even so...) i.e. the two quest huts on each side's starting area which are supposed to just sell summon boat scrolls actually also have a quest to bring the tiger helm (earlier plan which was scrapped) which cannot even be found on the map.  I need to fix these bugs and find others before releasing the H4 reg version.  Of course, I'll also update the GS version too to fix these bugs after i release the reg H4 version.
