Heroes: Quest for the Dragonbone Staff.
What do you think about this little known PS2 title? I played it and... well it wasn't pretty. Your thoughts?

But why did they not call it "King's Bounty?" I've also heard their might be another HOMM for Playstation2. Is this confirmed?

Hmm...yes,I think I heard something also!
Haven't playd it,but kinda sounded like kb!
Yep,I agree that it should have been called KB!
Hahaa,no point in purchasing that,I could send u kings bounty,I have it on a cd somewhere!
Almost the same anyway!

They did not name it King's Bounty because using the pretigious Heroes of Might and Magic name had more impact for players familiar with the PC game.

I have that game and I want to say that while it's nothing like Heroes the PC game (though I haven't played KB so I'm not sure), it isn't a bad game on it's own.

Yeah, but it has some glitches ya know?
like when a dwarf attacks an archer, for the archer retaliation instead of attacking the dwarf at a place it would hurt, he pulls out a little knife and pokes the top of the dwarfs helmut (yeah like that would do any damage!)
The collision detection is terrible.
And sometimes after you kill an enemy he retaliates even after he is dead!
But it was sort of cool to see everything in 3-d.

That's true it is in king's bounty but it's stupid. If you attack a peasant with 50 dragons the peasant jumps 10 feet in the air and attacks you like he is a jackass.

Kings Bounty
I just downloaded Kings Bounty the other day to see what it was like...and I have to say that it isn't to bad. One of the things I think they should have kept was that leadership ability. It was kind of cool to have to do the best with what you had and not just get tons of guys and clobber everyone.
I mean if you had 100 leadership you could only have 10 guys that had 10 health each. If they had 25hp you could only have 4. So it kept it being challenging. I had to find out what happened when you exceede your leadership limit the hard way. The guys went Berserk! and started attacking anyone in sight.
I was playing it in between turns while I was playing a toh game...lost the toh game doh! lol

You know something interesting? Some of the "villians" you have to go after make a return apperance in Heroes 4.

Well for example Jesika(the really ugly skull girl)
picture came from there.
Umm their was a character named "Nic Nimble" whose portrait is in Heroes 4.
That Vampire/ James Bond guy was in there too.
Their were alot more too but those are the ones I remember the most because they were all dumb lookin'
