A New Forum

Is there any chance a forum could be made to explain why things are deleted/locked and by whom?

Just a thought I had, it could decrease all the false accusations against some good mods also people wouldn't go jumping all over the place and make new post asking "Why did you...?"

Edit: I mean a Forum where just the Mods can post reasons why they did this and that Non-Mods can only veiw type thing.

Also I think maybe a HC Forum too, so people can understand why a certain person/s were penalised or put in HoS.
The way I see it now its just all hush, hush - done by e-mails and so on, (causing all kinds of frustration and accusations) people kept in the dark and theres the people who just automatically think, "okay, he/she's a cheater/whatever". maybe this wouldn't be such a bad Idea I think it better to air things rather than keep them in the dark.

Imo these questions can be asked safely in the Turban Tribunal forum and preferrably not on the heroes or RL related boards.  That's why the Turban Tribunal forum was created

EDIT: Mods generally edit posts or add a post to a thread to explain why they've taken severe actions in it btw  If you still have questions then, you can always send an IM to ask more information if you wish.

Hiya Nidhgrin, I have edited my thread when you were writing this it would seem

Why should a question be asked "safely"?
What if a Mod deletes a whole thread before it has a reply?

I myself have seen so many things on this board:

1. Whole threads dissapearing without the maker knowing about it.
2. qp awarded then taken away when spoke out about.
3. ToH admin, yes Admin... having posts deleted because they didnt like its content. <----- my opinion as there was no explanation, hence this thread.

Theres many more things I'm not gonna mention also, I don't see it as my job, I just thought this could be a good Idea

P.S. This is not a wank/toss thread!

A. With posting questions safely, I mean in the right place (on topic) - in the Turban Tribunal.  There you can be certain your question will be answered and dealt with properly.

B. Mods generally don't delete entire threads unnoticed, this is a very rare practise and if it was ever done, it will probably have been with good reason.

Hehe, I know this is not a wank or toss thread  If you have any questions, about my actions or about any other Heroes Community related issue, feel free to contact me by IM or open a thread on the Turban Tribunal.  I'm certain the other moderators are open to questions and complaints as well though.

Why don't we let the people who MAKE the board as as popular as it is to decide?

Good reason <------- this is what I'm talking about, there has been no reason, just deleted and gone.

Give me facts and I will look into them.  All I can do now is give you some general guidelines.

When something goes wrong, please report it to me, or to another moderator if you choose not to thrust me.

As I've said: There already IS a forum for that.  Why was it created?  Because discussing on the other boards only causes more fighting and flaming - the past has proved this on many occasions!

State your complaints clearly, because I can't really help if I don't see black on white what is exactly bothering you.  Url's from threads, screenshots from lost posts, anything...  You've got to give me more to work with if you want me to help solve the problem.  If you rather not post it on the boards then you can always send me an IM or even email me.  I am here to help, but I can only do that if you show me where to start tel.

I think what this thread is about is that when a person posts something they expect it to be treasured and treated well.

When a mod *has to* do something because a thread is out of hand, that is generally accepted. Most people know why the mod did it, and they think its ok.

Itīs the more arbitrary changes that people react to, or when they disagree. And when that happends, they would like to be able to get an explaination as to why it happened.

Itīs like that in many places, that the people that make the decisions have to take responsibility for their actions and let people know why they did things.

The internet is, sadly enough, lacking in that. Few sites have such an open policy, because it limits the power of the creators/owners/appointees, and they are the ones that make the decisions. Iīm not saying this is good or bad. I just hope that I wonīt fall into the same pattern.

So I think what is asked for here, is some sort of guarantee that when a thread is deleted, edited, +/- qp:ed or locked, people will be able to find out why it happened, and how (who).

However, if/when such a thing would happen, it would be a great milestone in the development of the internet. One that I am almost sure we wont find on this board.

I think though, that most people, when asked about it, would agree that such a thing would be a good thing. But, as many of us know, good things take time.

Itīs a great suggestion though, and all I can say is:
"Amaze me baby! "
