Usually....next level dwelling is smart but....especially when using magic hero.....go for the mage guild....unless a scholar hero in tavern or a free arrow on map...so therefore...I advice to scout map before building....send out at least two scouts....

This depends on map....if u know that u wont be able to buy up to lvl6 with castle week one anyways...build town hall day 2......unless u built mage guild day one...if so....buy another creature dwelling and the thir scout...bring units to main.

Alwats try to get lvl 1.6 creature dwellings with castle if map makes this possible...this is possible on most randoms..

If so, and if it is bennificial, then recruit "needed strength only" from castle #1.

Sorry lord lazy, but the next level dwelling will usualy be stronger in combat than a few extra spells IF EVEN, the hero started with advanced in the magic skill. psh
Scholars? I'm talking a different game. 4 not 3
Scouts? Which game are you talking about anyways?
I said, send 2 or so scouts. They serve a great purpose in the beggining.

The scouts I mean, are Homm4 level 1 creatures.
Having so many scouts in week one, that cost 2500 gold (heroes) would take a major drain in your dwelling upgrades.
Mabey I'll make another tactic summary for Homm 3, but until then, lets try and take my point for where it was =)

Yes, depends on the map (as nearly everything dose)
If your force, is unable to collect more resources, due to lack of troops, then it is time to recruit troops.
Until then, dont waste resources! (A variating factor here, is movement. Would forking up resource for more troops, save you hero days worth of movement?? If so, buy the extra force)
If your force, "Can" collect resources without spending the resource, and without putting the army strength to to much of a challenge (which in turn defeats disatorous percentages of the total strength.)
Then dont buy more strength.

Dude.. After you get the upgrades, and creature growth is moving smoothly, then you can get the hero upgrades! Theres no rush. It's not worth losing vital, starting units for a +1 Defence or anything, that you could get later with a mass percentage army strength, complete with level 7 if your funds allow =)

I agree totaly with that in Homm3.
It's realllly difficult, and might take some thought and heavy weighing to determinne in Homm3, to save for level 7 or not.
I suggest, not to in most cases (HOMM333!!!) Because of an entire different tactic/homm3

the spells, will be spells later (even in homm 4) however lost creature gorwth, is lost creature growth.

.. hm.. Right. Forts are expenzive.
Homm3 a different tactic.. I will not ramble on both 4&3!

Hm, an extra hero in Homm4, usualy isnt extremely helpful amongst begginging levels.
They serve useful later.. When level 4, or 5 are reached. But those are easier reached with a fully developed castle, and level 1-4 creatures.

Like I said, use one hero for a bit, unless their aid would assist greatly in flagging mines, or gold isn't the major issue for saving up for angels.

Ok.......let's clear out one thing....this is the MYTHS AND HEROES forum

That means homm3

Mixing between these games also explains why youre tactics seemed strange

Oh...and when it comes to hero upgrade...u wont have time to waste movement with youre main to collect upgrades later on...so rule is.....when it's possible without to heavy losses........get the upgrades ASAP
