favorite artists/bands?
sorry if this has already been done. it looks like a lot of people are making music topics. just wondering what everyone's favorite artists/bands are. my favorite artists are....eminem, 50 cent, cormega, nas, big L, big punisher, talib kweli, gangstarr, mobb deep, atmosphere, backbone, the grouch, a tribe called quest, GZA, u-god, sixtoo, and of course 2pac. if you like this kind of music you should really get Cormega's two CDs, "The Realness" and "The True Meaning".

Well, some of my favourite bands include (did that sound like an introduction for a TV-shop cd, or is it just me?)
Rage Against the Machine: Good and hard music with MEANING!
Nofx: Aggressive punk rock. Really simple and cool music.
Gåte: Norwegian band who plays a combo of norwegian folk music and black metal. The girl who does the vocals are an amazing singer.
Black Sabbath: Ozzy on vocals, Geezer on bass. Nuff said.
Creedence Clearwater Revival: They rule.
REM: An amazing band. A legend.
And I have to add Mozart. The magic flute is brilliant.

you've probably never heard real rap. the radio plays ja rule and nelly and all of them. that's FAKE RAP. it's called hip-hop, where they practically sing and have fake lyrics that are about nothing. but real rap comes from the heart and explains snow going on in the rapper's life or problems with society and actually has flow. and don't state your opinions as facts. "1. rap is crap." it's called opinion.

i agree, rap would be ok (not nearly as good as metal, but ok) if they would play the real stuff and not that pop/hip hop pseudo MTV crap you mentioned, stuff like Ice-T (with Body Count specially) is really ok.
As for Rammstein: snow them, a shame they are Germans, i never saw a bunch of bigger morons with worse and more annoying "music" - and if someone calls them Metal i give him a swift kick into the butt lol
