Versions not a problem orless Armeggeddons blade since it's only an expansion.

If your joining a game you simply only need his IP#.

If your hosying a game simply go to RUN on your com type winipcfg & write down your IP# not the IP# from your heroes game & your partner should do the same.

Make sure your all updated in your versions & make sure you dont type any passwords or better yet ignore that part & just host.

He will be there shortly & all should be well

Unless you are using Windows 2000 or XP then you have to type command and when the prompt comes up you type ipconfig.
If you are using a router(linksys, DLink.etc...) you will need to find the WAN address. Normally if you open a browser (IE, Netscape, mozilla etc...) type in 192.168.1.1 for Linksys or 192.168.0.1 for Dlink. Then you get a prompt to log in to the router via web interface.
Linksys username = no username(leave blank) (nothing there)
Linksys password = admin

Dlink username = admin
Dlink password = (leave blank) (nothing there)

(Linksys)Once logged in to the interface click on status and you should see the WAN addy.

(Dlink) once logged in to the interface you click status and then click device info there you should see your WAN addy.

Questions? Comments? Go to www.weeflea.org if you can't seem to get it post here and I will do what I can.

Does anyone know why my IP works for Heroes 4 but when I try to play Heroes 3 it always tells people it can't be found?  I am using windows XP.  Also I can never seem to join other peoples games.  Through IP or Gamespy with Heroes3.
