BB-code has a way to prevent codes to work, next to the usage of a 'code' code, where coding can be wrote without it to take effect also.
If you'd write [b]Bolded Text Here[/b] then it posts a bold text, right?
If you put a code within both the [b] and [/b] tags, BB-code will only let that code take effect and the code that's left won't take effect.
So, if I'd post [b[b][/b]], 'Text' and [/[b][/b]b], it will only show [b]'Text'[/b]
If you don't want to replace {img} for [img] because it may look too indirect, here's a solution. :)
Cool feature, Rhodan.
In addition, to prevent smileys you can write [/smileys ] at the beginning of your post (most useful for WoG scripts).

Concerning email notifications -- I have checked the box that says to send me an email when someone replies to a post of mine. BUT, I have never received any such email.
I notice a topic in this thread from about a year ago asking about turning off email notification when new responses are made to a thread -- it seems that the wording has changed since then to imply only email notice to one of my posts. Is that correct?

It seems that email notifications have recently been turned on. I am now getting 5-10 notifications per day because of previous posts (years ago) to two very popular threads (FAQ and Editor one).
How can I tell the forum software to deselect those threads, but to continue sending emails on other threads?

It looks like this feature doesn't exist as I've searched for 30 minutes now trying to find it. I'm rather unimpressed with this forum software. I frequently find myself fighting it. Especially the search feature.
My only guess is if I post a reply and make sure e-mail notification is unchecked but I bet it would anger moderators making a pointless post just to unsubscribe. Maybe I can post then delete it.

I can't log into my account. I cleared cookies and then entered my password, but it's saying it's not correct even though I've had the same password since 2008. Email function doesn't work.

I'm not sure I rememeber correctly but if you changed your password while using different upper-case letters you'd have to log with the same upper-case or it wouldn't validate the username with the password.
