Its good to see you were doing something you believe in. I just noticed this post today (because of MocaReighnUh's post) and decided it was something I should have been posting to a while ago.
I wish you well, and hopefully I will see you on the Heroes 5 battlefield in the (near) future!

Stay sharp over there buddy.
You and your friends over there represent our best and our bravest. I'm sure every day is a new exercise in insanity but your strong mind will pull you through the better for the experience. You guys make us proud every day and yet we know it comes with a heavy sacrifice.
Lets hope a withdrawal isn't too far down the road and the Iraqis can take over the peacekeeping.

Blasts From The Past
Hey, long-time Heroes!
First, thanks for the kind words and all the 'well wishes'. Just to let you know, I have been safe & sound and back home in the States for a little while now. My active-duty military commitment ended last summer. Instead of leading a platoon of fifty Marines, now I answer to a new Commander-In-Chief (my wife), while I am also responsible for the care and supervision of my two little ones (ages 3 & 2). Talk about a really tough job! Regardless, I still wanted to say "thanks" for thinking about me.
Also, I wanted to let you guys know that I am so looking forward to H5, mostly because I remember the 'good old days' when we were avid multi-players and enjoyed each other's company. You know, those times when we would have nothing more important to do than frequent the IRC room talking about life and even playing a fun game of Heroes II every now-and-then. As they say, "the good ole days."
Mykl, if you are reading this, please email me so I can give you my phone number. If you still have my old number from when we last spoke, then you can just call me on that. I was able to get my old number back with my new cell phone service provider.

Alright it pays to look at the date on threads and maybe read the posts beyond the first couple. I just saw it high up and assumed it was a recent one.
sheesh ive been gone awhile from the community.
Glad to hear all is well and you are having fun raising the kids.
I recommend calling Mocara, I think its his preferred communication.

Hay hay!
Dynasty says hello too! She misses you man, misses talking to you online and in IRC all the time.
We are married now, got married on Feb 26, 2002. We have been together for 9 years now, we have 3 kids, Cassandra - 7, Aaron - 5, and Marissa - 3 months.
We are gearing up for the release of Heroes 5, with the screenshots, images and movies we have seen so far, we cannot wait to play some new games against some old friends!
Oh, and for "old school" IRC chat, the Oracle League has both an IRC channel AND a java applet that can easily get you there from the Oracle League site! If you dont want to go to the website, IRC server is irc.gamesurge.net channel #oracle-league
I am in there all the time, but not necessarily at the computer. Come by and chat!
