LOL @ Lews!
Seriously? NK is far too big to pick on, they'd kick the **** out of america if Iraq can give them a hard time. Iran got moved down the "evil" list by america a while back, though they're still considered a nasty piece of work (execpt when needed), but I would probably say them if I had to choose as they have oil, a relatively small/useless army and there's enough troops nearby to use for the operation now.
Afria... doubtful, no real capital in picking on any of them except maybe Lybia or Sudan. Syria could be a possibility and you could garuntee support from a certain right wing nut just the other side of the golan heights. Jordan strikes me as unlikely, they're to friendly to the west to be considered nasty.
One things for sure, if that dumb PM who runs our country drags us in with america against those lot, well he's gonna prove mighty unpopular to say the least....

I say the next one is Canada. Our army is about six people and so (I think we might have three guns, but two of them are kinda old) so they'll have no problems. We have some natural resources, lots of land, and we are so close there will be no trouble getting to us and importing the resources later.
(seriously though, I think NK is the next one )

IMHO, its gonna be North Korea next, but the N koreans are gonna put up a much better resistance than the Iraqis. It might even end up with the koreans whooping the americans butts, unless they resort to nukes (the americans).

I've voted Iran, though I must admit North Korea would seem to be a more logical choice. I'm doing some serious digging for information about the gulf crisis and the involvement of the american government in the whole matter right now, and based on that I'd say Iran. Time will learn soon enough who was right here though... I don't think we'll have to wait for more than three years to see another war break out.

Any country in which turbans are worn is the next stop. btw if us attacks North Korea they will have very few soldiers left for the next target as the koreons are as advanced as anyone in the world.

I voted another middle east country (Syria), since they and the yanks have had a little 'mouth war' the past days. Don't remember the exact words, but the words 'criminal' and 'white house' was mentioned in the same sentence..
And I don't think the great 'Sheriff' will let such insults just pass without a gunblazin' retaliation.. lol
But Iran doesn't sound as unlikely either, and North Korea is also a good canidate.
The best thing would of course be if they didn't bomb anyone at all, but I don't think that's too likely..

Yeah, Syria is also becoming more likely to be the yanks' next target. Theres been speculations that the Syrian government has been supplying Iraq with weapons and equipment, after coalition forces discovered a cache of those somewhere in Iraq.
But still, North Korea still has my vote.

LOL, are you really this stupid? Your posts are rather humorous, the way you are always trying to sound like you know what the hell you're talking about. Fact of the matter is, you are so far off it is rediculous. You're just another anti-american pansy. Get over yourself. lol

I don't know, depends on how stupid you've already decided I am does it not?

Got some specifics or just here to poke insults at people?
Quote: Fact of the matter is, you are so far off it is rediculous
Ahh here we go, some facts for you then.
1: The NK army is quite large and half decently equiped, as is their WMD production.
2. NK is larger than Iraq therefore more troops will be needed.
3. Iraq doesn't have a nice friendly partial superpower sitting beside them backing their moves with weapons and technology, NK does.
Quote: You're just another anti-american pansy. Get over yourself. lol
Whereas you just came along to offer pertinent counters with my arguments with well laid out and proveable points didn't you? Well could you hurry up and do it before I die? Please, too many americans cry "anti-american bias" when they have run out of other arguments.
Come back when you've learnt to quote people and can come up with proveable arguments ok?

That I am not sure. China and NK have been enstranged recently. So if there is another invasion, not sure if China would DEFEND NK like she did the first time. But NK is a tough cookie, plus there isn't much to chew on.

But at the same time, the very last thing the chinese will want is to see one of their few communist allies fall into american hands (as they'll see it) as it would humiliate them in the eyes of the world so I doubt they would just sit back and watch. The very least I'm geussing they'd do is take on a sorta early american policy to vietnam, ie send advisors and weapons.

Quote: I have a question, who is the allied of USA in the war vs NK??? I mean who gonna bring their territory like kuwait???? SK???
The korean war was pretty much fought between USA (sided with SK) vs China (sided with NK).
The UN did pass the "resolution" to authorize USA to use force. Because of that, for the record, China never "officially" sent any troops across the border, instead, those did go were "armed volunteers", and bore no official Chinese army insignia.
Many countries also sent token force to "aid" USA. The most famous being the "turkish brigade". That entire unit was destroyed by Chinese just moments after they stepped on Korean soil.
It's really hard to tell which side had the higher moral ground. After all, this started as a civil war (Korea was one country before the war). So the analogy of Kuwait is inappropriate.
In the end, thousands of lives were lost, on both end. And the country was divided along 38 parallel, back to exactly square one.
Nowdays US still has military bases in SK, while there is no Chinese military presense in NK.
Two side notes:
1) China joined the war fearing that her own territory was threatened. In a way, it's true. For general MacArthur did ask white house several times for permission to drop nuclear bombs on Chinese soil.
2) Recentsome, some South Koreans wanted to investigate the massacre of civilians during korean war. While they did find evidence against NK and even US, no evidence showed that Chinese troops ever laid hands on civilians.

Thought you wanted to talk about facts? "Half decently equiped" and "quite large" Man you really pin pointed some stuff here.
Fact: The United States military is much larger than North Korea's. It is also more advanced and is better trained. Both China and NK are very inexperience in modern day combat also. Advantage US and SK
Quote: 2. NK is larger than Iraq therefore more troops will be needed.
Way to go Sherlock!!! You figure this one out all by yourself?
Quote: 3. Iraq doesn't have a nice friendly partial superpower sitting beside them backing their moves with weapons and technology, NK does.
China is about a decade behind the United States as far as weapons and technology goes. Advantage US and SK here too.
Biggest problem for NK is its economy. It can't afford a war with the United States, and China can only pick up so much of the slack, if they even bothered to do that. China doesn't even give a **** abouts it own people, so I don't see them helping out NK much this time. There focus is still on Taiwan. But thats just my opinion there.
Like I said before, you don't know what the hell you are talking about, thanks for proving my point.
Now go fire up yahoo and start searching for you next BS post. OK?

Humm, I'd like to see some facts. It's really easy to comment on another country, when you virtually know NOTHING about it.

I was expecting friendly intelligent discussion, but using the word "BS" on your fellow HC member, humm, that sounds neither friendly, nor intelligent.
-----------
Now back to the topic.
If USA does invade NK, she will most likely win, but the war will be very costly. We are talking about a country that neither denied the existance of weapons of mass destruction (definitely chemical weapons, possibly nuclear ones), nor the willingness to use them.
There were some cartoons published in Europe.
Picture 1:
Sadam pleading to a US soldier: " I don't have weapons of mass destruction!"
US Soldier: "Prove it!"
Picture 2:
Kim Jung-il challenging the US soldier: "I do have weapons of mass destruction!"
US soldier: "Prove it!"
