In multiplayer should be be allowed to watch our opponent battle during their turn?
When playing multiplayer over the net both for heroes III and Heroes IV and probably for Heroes V, should be have the opportunity to watch the enemy battle.
This way we are watching the tactics and strategy when the opponents goes into battle.
This is better than waiting for x amount of time for the opponent to take their turn, even if it is for 2 mins per turn.
As we all know this lasts longer because of the battles that takes place.
I think it would be fun as well as very interesting to watch him or her battle the creatures during their turn and vice versa.
This could be an option for Heroes V.
The down side might be the time taken to transfer the data back and forth between computers.
I know in hotseat it can be very entertaining to see you oppoent stumble about the battlefild trying to wipe out the enemey forces.
What say you?

..and your human opponent could command the random creatures, etc you are fighting against.
something like this has been discussed before and as far as i remember, this idea was rejected because people didn't want the opponent to see what spells you have and the exact numbers of your creatures, and even more importantly, what troops and you have and what creatures you fight while in the territory unexplored by the opponent or under the fog of war in homm4.
and i agree, because imho secrecy is the most important factor that lets you take risks and go for a strategy that might suprise your opponent. and benefit from figuring out something that the opponent didn't. the ability to decide how many and what kind of risks you take is the main thing that distinguishes human player from a good ai imho. the meaning of the word is that you have a chance to fail, you know.
if it would be without the fog of war, i.e. your opponent can see your doings in the whole explored area, your opponent controlling the creatures that you fight would be relatively less harmful (in addition to the spell and exact creeature numbers problems, sometimes you don't want every creature to tell the opponent that you have scouted there), but would still be a step in the direction of reduced secrecy. it might be a compromise between poor or too predictable ai (if your opponent has better int), but imho this compromise wouldn't look nice either.
