tewiller, you see that a firewall isnt actually a fire which looks like a wall behind your computer.
A firewall is a way for someone to stop the flow of data at certain ports.
You have chat ports, PtP ports, gaming ports and so on.
And now as things unfortunately are my school networks gaming ports are blocked. Basically because they think we study worse if we spend our time playing games online. Now if that is right/wrong can be discussed, mainly because there still are online games and games you can play online who doesnt have data sending like heroes3 does.
But as things are now the firewall is in the way because i cant recieve/send any data.
I will try and get the time to play some of you during summer when im visiting family, although if you wanna play me then tewiller you better get some points. I dont wanna get here and kill everyone with a big mouth just to see a cherry pop up next to my tourney icons 
now stop toss every thread with this BS. I can understand that its fun from time to time and i can take it. But threads like this are one of a kind because they obviously are very good and interesting ...keep them that way please.

As usual chubby you are yet to understand
Tossing sure is fun but it also has its responsibilities. Meaning: if for example kitten has a serious TOH/MAH question you dont toss there and drive the thread off topic unless the question in matter alrdy has been dealt with. You also dont toss in "serious" threads like the ones at the part of this forum called "other side of monitor", just as you dont take new good idea threads like this one and toss them away off topic.
I really thought you knew this chubbs since ive seen your postings at most places of this board.
As for tossers like twelli i can understand since his a n00b.
But really, if you toss every thread out there there will soon enough be no fun threads to toss.
You gotta keep the balance of the force...
As a suggestion for mods here let this thread be like this for about 24h and if no objections remove all off topic posts.

Great tip, I tried this yesterday and noticed a huge difference, hiring/chaining/moving 8 heroes in a map like HG and finishing turn in less than 3 min. Although I missed the music and sound effects, I might even want to try 2min turn games from now on
Btw I have nothing against tossing on this board, but I wish people would exercise their tossing skills in separate threads as to make non-toss ones easier to read.

Okay, forget the Firewall talk guys. This is a decent topic (or was, before ppl started talking about firewalls).
Anyhow.
I played Heroes of Might and Magic I from 1996 - 1997, before Heroes of Might and Magic II came out, which I played until Price of Loyalty came out. I then had to make do with those 2 for a very long time, until I got the demo for HOMM 3 in about 2000. Then I got HOMM3 soon afterwards, and then got HOMM3 complete (all the expansions in one) in 2001. I got HOMM4 in middle of 2002. I haven't got the expansion packs.
And I am yet to play a multiplayer game.
Does it really work? I have never been able to get it to work. I'd like to know if I am any good or not. I always beat the computer, but how good are you guys?
