With her permission, I would like to clarify one point in Asheera's excellent BB Codes Guide:

Note: from Youtube, you need to use the "embed" link and not the "watch" link!
I just want to make it clear that you simply have to insert the link portion of the embed code into the BB code. As she mentioned, you do not use the code that appears in the address bar. You have to click on the Embed button below the video on YouTube and a very long code appears. You do not insert the entire code into the BB code. You just have to extract the actual link portion that appears within the embed code.
The link appears twice in the embed code: Once after "value=" and once after "src=". It's the same link. You can either try to copy it right from the entire embed code on YouTube or copy the entire embed code and paste it into Notepad. Then examine it and copy the link as outlined above, leaving out the quotes. It should start with htpp://.
You can also get the object width and height at the beginning of the embed code. Then simply do as Asheera instructed and you'll be all set.

If you're new to all of this, you're not expected to learn this all at once. Plus, you don't have to learn all of it or even any of it, if you don't want to.
The things posted here are the culmination of years' worth of knowledge of many people.
So just enjoy yourself and have a good time.
