Having problems installing WoG?
For those having problems installing the new WoG there is a new Allinon1.zip in the process of being made. The entire file has been redone to try to fix what ever error must have happened in the last update. It is being tested now to see if it works correctly. Once done I will let you know when it is released.

Is the new allinon1.zip going to include the updates to 3.57f? In other words, will it do a complete install of the latest verstion?
One of the problems I had while installing it is that the install path used DOS names for the install directory. This didn't make sense to me and I changed it the long filename where the directory actually was. Of course, this messed up my install, so make sure you don't do that.
Also, I would like to make a request that an Uninstall function be added. That would make life alot easier for people who need to change their system, or figure out what the problem with an earlier install might be.

um no it will be quite a few months before 3.58 is out. There is a good bit being redone and added. I figure 2 to 6 months. Most likely less than 6 just being cautious

Or we could rely on magazines such as PC Powerplay.

The new Allinon1.zip is in final testing with no errors so far. It will be released in a few days unless something goes wrong. Once the new Allinon1 for 3.57f is out I will let you all know.

It's similar to the 3.56 allinone -- about 30MB, but that doesn't include the ERM Help file or Scripter which will be a separate download of about 4.5MB (since only those people writing or modifying scripts need those tools).
In addition, there's still the long version of the WoG campaign video that's optional (Slava said the short one is now included in the allinone, unless I misunderstood). The campaign video clips haven't changed at all, so if you already downloaded the file (p3fd.wog I think), you can use it again to reinstall. Anyway, that one's about 27MB.
I think the only other file is the optional replacement English Fonts and that's a really small download of only 47KB.

I probably won't download that one cause it will probably take at least 4 hours to download and my ISP disconnects me after 4 hours.

Well, I hope the repaired update will fix the problem I´ve seen on winNT; the tower town crashes the game reporting "bitmap" errors..?

This new allinon1 should fix any of the strange errors that have been going on in WoG. I have had people not be able to even install it for 5 tries before it would work. Then there are those like me that had no problems installing. So yes this should fix all install errors.

I have only had one minor problem with installing WoG. When I install it, the bar moves straight to 100% complete before staying there for a minute. After that it works fine.

Have you tried sending the wog's log file to one of the teams addy on the site? IF you send that it will show Slava what caused the error if it was an install one. Even though it installed there could have been an error during it. Try sending the file and they will help. I will see what I can dig up for you as well.
