Rules Ideas for Clans
Here are some additions / changes I thought of based on the input on the "Possible Clans" thread.
http://www.toheroes.com/myths/tourn/clans/clanrules2.htm
The points changes are in an effort to encourage newer player play without unbalancing the tournament by letting losses run up points.
The rules for clan member selection are largely due to a legitimate concern over stacked clans.
Let me know what you think of that specific pages ideas, here please.

hi rayven i read both rules and they seem fine but i think one thing that needs changed most is the Points and gold. i say maybe 3 and 1 and -1 and -1. and after -20 points clan is disbanned so another group has a chance.
Just my 2 cents

First of all, COME ON PEOPLE, I'm asking for your input. I'm listening to what you are saying and trying to balance everything out. If you want to see something ran, then I suggest you start posting. Otherwise I will assume you are interested in a season of clans and won't bother spending the time to iron out the million other details.
As for Attila's post. The main reason I have the gap so big is I don't want any crying about giving points for losing unbalancing things. with 10 to the winner there is NO WAY this would ever happen. I think the idea of giving points for losses only to Footman w/o vet icons is a good one. It rewards the people we are trying to encourage to play, ie. the newbies and doesn't give out freebies to the ones that don't need it. I went with footmen w/o vet icons to balance out the fact that there are a lot of VERY skilled players still ranked on the bottom of the rungs due to inactivity.
AS for disbanding a clan when they get negative so far, that would be a possibility. I know Andi said something about it earlier on the other thread about it giving struggling clans something to work for as they struggle to stay alive. As for doing it to give "another group a try" there will be PLENTY of slots for everyone, I don't really see this as necessary for that reason.

Very well done i think raven. Nice effort
1. u addressed the problem of keeping new players interested. Not losing points for them is a good thing i think. The other idea of clans fighting to not get disbanded would work the opposite i think. They all would just stop playing and let it happen
2. u addressed the problem of stacked teams. I think its good the way u have it listed
3. u addressed the potential problem of a small clique of clans playing each other all time
4. I like your point and gold system, but i think Hutijin's system has some merit. I think his would be better. If u use his, those inactive veterans that are potentially a rank of 4, could end up beating an actual ranked 4 player. This a think would be a little unfair. Maybe these inactive vet players could be given a ranking relating to their known talent level
Just my thoughts!

one thing so far...
"You must have 1 clan war against each clan before you can challenge a clan to a second war."
i dont like this.
If some clans are somewhat inactive this will limit all other clans to have as many clan wars as they want.
And i doubt all clans wanna play each other for different reasons.
Make it a "must play" of 80-90% instead, IMO that will work better.
