Full Crypts Week 1
Just wanted to share this with all of you. I made it awhile ago, but just now figured out that I could get some web space from my internet provider.
Full Crypt with Castle
I have 2 more of these, 1 for Tower and 1 for Rampart. I will post the links as soon as I get them uploaded.

Excellent Walk-Thru!
Very impressive and excellent step-by-step walk-thru with great screen shots. I have always wondered about troop placements when visiting sites like the Graveyard, etc. This was very helpful. Are the troop placements the same for Imp Cahces & Dwarf Vault (can't remember exact title)?

Yep, everytime you go into a battle were you set up starts with you in the middle of the battle field and the enemy around the edges, that is how you troops will be set up. It goes from left to right, top to bottom

Very useful Chubs. Red star given; a good topic is a welcome change these days.
Please give us the tactic for the other towns as well.

If u see somebody did something good u must say that to him - so, good job, Chubby! Especially that tower thing is really good. Only i'm afraid i don't have patience to learn all those step by step moves by heart

...yes great post from u chubby... well deserved QP.
I dun wana be the hair in the soup, but as it is a forum, i would like to say that i would do else. Best results u get if u do the shooters in the 5 and the big stack in the 2, and not reverse. Then it works even if u r not on homeground. And a wise player once said: Dont take Gargoyles as fodder with u.

Ok, if Xar started to make some notes (and i agree with his comment) then i feel free to add some bunch of mamonth's hairs in soup, too ;p
Your strategy is simply great, but u make things darker than in reallty My point is - if one plays on 160 or easier, such an army as in your sample is possible to gather even in day 1 or 2. But why not to wait till day 4 and to take something more with u? Major money problems usually arises at day 6 or 7...
Of course, some logistics issue may force u to attack as early as possible, but even then it is possible to use more army (e.g., with not-Ivor heroe, I always try to bring in dwarves for crypts).
Yet on 200% your strategies may be the best (if u can gather all the resources for troops upgrade).
But, but, but... still the explanations are great and vivid, so don't take our critique with Xar by heart, Chubby
@Haile: elephants remember everything, only they are too big to remember all the things they really remember - a bit complicated, u know

...sorry dumbo jk ...but u r totally wrong with that one..crypts on day 1 on a random 160 is an essential to win.

Offer of compromise - on original random templates, where u need to get as much heroes as u can, u are right - day 1 should bring in max possible money. Simply, I guess, i'm get used to customed template playing, where 8 heroes day 1 more likely will turn out to be the deadliest mistake...
As for dumbo... actually that would be fun to fly with ears...

I guess I could try and figure one out, it has to be possible. But the thing is, on Random templates (all I play anymore) crypts don't show up on lava terrain. And the way I play most of my games (99% of the time on midnight designs) I spend the first week clearing area for resourses for my build and buy out of creatures day 8. So taking a full crypt week 1 with Inferno would not be all that useful seeming how you will never see one on lava terrain week 1. I could be wrong, but I don't know of any fixed maps were there is a crypt on lava terrain either. I try to make all these tactics ones that will actually be of some use. Full crypts week 2 with any castle are easy pickin's , even on dirt. As soon as I get some more time, I will start figuring one out for dungeon on dirt. That would be REAL handy. If anybody has a tactic for that, please post it, and I will make a page for it. (giving credit where credit is due ofcourse)

Just wanted to add, PLEASE do critisize, I take no offense to it. I want to learn just like the next guy. Tear these apart and lets get the best possible tactics up here. Seriously, I take no offense to it, I welcome the improvements.

Thought this thread was a goner. I had a lot of fun making these and would like to do so again. Maybe if some of you peeps could post some questions about taking crypts week 1 we can get some of them answered and I will put together web pages if needed.
