Mmmmm kay.
The spider thing is apparantly not cool. Posting things to knowingly mock someone would fall under the heading of provocation.
Posting an image of a spider in itself doesn't seem like such a big deal, but going out of your way to torment someone is.
(geez, I'd like to take off the modhat already.....)

People have phobias that can be quite severe - I know I have mine... but confronted with an image I can just look away. Its different for everyone I guess.
Just try to be respectful of each other, if you post something knowing that a person is seriously bothered by it - that's really not cool.
Flies just irritate me, but my son is completely phobic of all flying insects. I can't count the number of near heart attacks I've had when he's gone running off towards traffic to try to avoid some bug that I haven't even seen.
Its wasp/hornet season here too - so right now has been especially stressful for him. He's gotten past the running at traffic now though, thank goodness.

Well, if that's true, I understand it. I used to be afraid of the dark as well (though not a phobia, like I have), so I understand.
