I think of the potential fear in the new members by seeing penalties in the comfort,given by the welcome thread.
I wish to tell them that there are many ways to post with respect and only those who deny to show respect to others are subject to such measures.

Hi,
I'm Ozzmousis and I'm an heroesholic.
I've been playing the game only for 2 year now cause I got introduced to it only then... what a shame.
I've been only playing with my friend or myself, and I would like to start playing online and participate in some competitions.
...Yeah playing with myself...
I've played Heroes 3, 4, 5 and 6.
My fav of them is 3 ofc, but 6 is awesome too.
So, nice to be here, and if you wanna play with me I'm in for beating your assess  (Mostly play M&MH6 now)

We have serbian members here with pretty good english,so they may help you a bit with the language.
There are WoG subforum as well as H5 subforum,where you can find all you are interested in from the games.
Just read and follow the rules and have a nice HC experience!

Hello all! I am from Seattle and played HOMM so many years ago I lost count. I loved the game but only recently rekindled my desire to play it again. I am just getting to know this forum and can't seem to find a space to help with getting started. Where can I buy old versions of the game etc.
Honestly I was hoping to start of with the original and work my way up to the HOMM 5 or so. Is that even possible?
Can't wait to get started.

It is possible, though the stories of the new games (5 and 6, maybe even 4 depending on how you feel) don't correlate with the older ones.

Hi all!
I'm from Turku, Finland and 25 years old male, musician and... an active HOMM player.
I've played lots of HOMM 3, 4 and 5 and am currently discovering Chronicles. I also have played WoG and would like to offer my creative head for the next installment. I also have created a few cool maps that I will certainly introduce to you later, and the huge campaign following the early story of Christian the Knight against his journey to rule the world. Twelve maps total, it's quite a huge project that I'm still doing. The avatar is connected to that campaign, and the final opponent against Christian, the Azure Dragon Lord... 
I was not very satisfied to Might And Magic Heroes 6 demo, it was very hard even in the easiest mode for me and I don't like the general look of creatures in the game. Not enough new IMO. And I have not played Might & Magic yet.
Anyway looking forward to have interesting conversations about the game series and where it should develop, I hope I will have lots to give for the community.
