Hi. Used to play Heroes Chronicles years ago, loved it. Started playing Heroes 3 only recently. Kinda preferred Chronicles so now I'm messing around with the editor. Posting here to say helloooo....

Hello, Heroes-community members.
My online nickname is Delsus (or 'Del' for short). I'm fifteen years old. My country of origin is America; I speak English & Spanish fluently, & am learning Japanese. I do both digital & traditional art (drawing). My favorite genres of music are jazz, blues, bebop. I like to play HOMM 3 & 5.
I've come here to do some map-making/campaign making, play some HOMM, & chat a bit. This game was one of my favorites from my early childhood, & still is.

Hello, I am Albe and I have played HoMM since I was about 8 years old. My first experience with the franchise was when I brought the Platinum Edition with all the three first HoMM games. I was bound by its magic Today I play the six existing games, but I have my favorites I like to discuss the games and its gameplay and mechanics, and I often make my own Heroes projects and ideas for game improvements. I also make stuff about balancing and the math behind the game I like mods like Hota, because it keeps the game as it was intended, but it just add more content in form of town, creatures ect. I have tried Wog yet and I have completely no experience with making mods, even though it seems as a interesting tool. I mostly make formulas and calculations, but I would like to help moders where I can with such stuff
I hope to be a active member of this honorable community

Hello just got HOMM6 this Christmas after watching play troughs of HOMM6 and 5 (really like the dungeon faction can't wait for the new expansion!) and I am quite enjoying it currently 156 hours so far working through the campaigns on easy.(even then its quite hard lol.)
My favorite factions so far is inferno and necropolis. I hope I get to know you lot and I am happy to be a part of this community.

Everything has a beginning...
Hello All!
There are only two games that I truly love; Heroes of Might and Magic III, and Baldur's Gate (pc series). My wife is beginning to get into video games, and so I started her with these. What I enjoy more than anything, are the modding communities that surround these two franchises. I hope that VCMI gets finished soon, and would love to help make that into a reality.
I have a few ideas / questions for this community after reading countless threads, but I do not know if they have been brought up as of yet (because there are so many more threads left to read!).
Questions:
1. With the massive amount of content being modded or added, is there a thread that gives a summary of each? I read Salamandre's posting on the Wake of Gods Forum Links which are very helpful, but each link stands without a summary and status.
2. What is the collective goal for HOMM 3? I've seen story arc campaigns, many new monsters, reworkings of the entire game engine, etc.
Ideas:
1. Creating story arcs beyond simple character backgrounds (i.e. Hero A hates Hero B, so when they fight Hero A receives a bonus to attack on all creatures, and will refuse to retreat or surrender...simple example).
2. Replacing useless (often unused heroes) characters with new ones aimed at combating the most used heroes...used in addition of idea 1
3. Going ahead and just creating a Scout class of hero that cannot attack or be attacked (much like a Ghost Hero), with expert logistics, pathfinding, and scouting and an XP cap as minimal as possible. This can be used to explore random maps, etc.
4. Creating Tournament dedicated maps that are as equal as possible with central battle spots aimed at finding out who the best really is and not on randomized maps....(idk if this has been done or not yet.

My hobbies are video games, movies, music, SPEAKERS!!!, and modding pictures for various purposes, i.e. incorporating people into the games they love, and making cooler pictures for the characters they love.

Hello I'm new here!
Well I've played Heroes III since 1999 and I still love the game. The reason I joined this community is because I've read alot of good stuff about modding. I've modified other games but not this, dont know why actually. So I'm looking forward to do so too, though I surley will ask you guys alot of questions, so go easy on me huh?
