Fond memories watching my older brothers and cousins playing HoMM3 brought me here
Hello, my name is Samuel, I am 22 years old and hail from Norway. I am a fairly decent Age of Empires II player getting back in to HoMM3. I used to play it with my brothers sometimes maybe a decade ago, but I was yet too young to understand much of anything. In more recent years I've been playing through some of the campaigns between classes at school with the release of the HD version on steam. I have played a few matches online with my older friends, thinking I'd do well as I do against medium difficulty bots, but they seemed to play at an entirely different level.
So... now I am here, ready to embrace and bask in your ancient wisdom and knowledge, in order to defeat Them as easily on HoMM3 as on AoE2.

How to update Italian Translation of HoMM3
Greetings everyone,
I am new on this board. On behalf of a friend I would like to inquire how to work on the Italian translation of the HoMM3 HD Edition. Is that even possible? And where would be the right place to ask that question on this forum?
How is it possible to work on a translation anyway for HoMM3?
Is there a tool required to extract the original texts from the game?
And how would you get the game to use the updated texts then?
If this is not possible with the HD Edition of the game, I would still like to know the answer for the COMPLETE Edition then instead.
My friend has zero experience with working on translations for HoMM3 and we would greatly appreciate any help you could offer.

Happy New Year everybody!
I have started replaying the HOMM5, so I decided to also join the forum. 
I have been playing the series since maybe 1998 when I first came across the HOMM2. I still remember my beginnings, when I didn't know that you can buy more troops in the castle - defeating the neutral monsters was quite a challenge with only the creatures that came with the hero! 
My favourite is HOMM3, but I also love 2, 4 and 5 - all in a different way.
I am very happy that there is such a community that is keeping the series alive!

Hi guys, I'm new on the forum and new in the game franchise. I am very interested in the plot of these games, where should I start with the games, plot-wise? Should I play M&M games first or should beginning from Heroes 1 suffice?

Hey everyone!
I am from Hungary, first played Homm2 more than 20 years ago, since then I love the series, still to this day I love to play (mostly with) 3, the best is Hot Seat mode with friends. I'm also a fan of the rpg series.

About the HD version, just buy the normal HoMM3 Complete on GOG and install HD+ mod. The one made by Ubisoft is literally sh*t (no joke, for example, you can sometimes see the Giant's sword going through his hand and the magi look like they are having spasms).

New to the Heroes Communitu though I have followed you since years, I played Heroes 3 first when I was about 8yo ! It's been a while now ahah, gonna blow 24 candles this month...
I am on my phone right now so I am sorry if this message does not respect every rules.
Also english is not my native tongue, therefore I am in advance sorry for grammatical confusions !
A problem I have on my computer since several weeks is that I can not display normally threads. I have this kind of message poppin:
"heroes community overload protection active. This page will didplay automatically in a few seconds"... But I have tried to wait and reload many times, it does not work anymore 
If you have had this kind of trouble before please your help would be very welcomed !

What browser do you use? Firefox?
Edit: Your message respects the rules, I don't see why a message from phone would be different from one wrote on a PC, except for maybe several letters missing and/or different.
